a thought regarding a recent public talk i heard:.

if christians are truly supposed to be odedient & faithful in all things (to the organization), because jah has always used an organization, then shouldn't the jews around jesus days have done the same thing towards the sanhedrin/priests (even though they were corrupt)?.

The oral traditions filled in the details that Moses left out. For instance, how far could a person walk on the Sabbath without it being work? The interpreters decided that the distance was 2000 cubits which is about 2/3 of a mile. This was known as a Sabbath’s day journey. Where did they get that number? When the Hebrews carried the Ark of the Covenant in the wilderness, God commanded them to walk 2000 cubits behind the ark. They decided that was God’s way of telling them how far one could walk on the Sabbath.

Wow! The GB are trying to fill the same role the Pharisees did. They fill in the rest (e.g. blood components are wrong, but hemoglobin is acceptable).

Yeah...this looks like Russian propaganda. Just keep religions from tax-exempt status. Nuff-said. That will do the trick. Once that is done, no need for physical retaliation, arrest, etc.

that caused this radio host, alex jones, who has millions of listeners to create a petition to have piers deported.

piers invited alex on his show to have a civil debate about guns.

Here is the BIG problem in the gun control debate:

You have to specify a goal. Seriously! What do the gun control advocates want? Is it less massacres plain and simple? Or, do they desire less actual assaults/murders/armed robberies nationwide, regardless of the weapon used.

I want to attack this problem with the goal of making the change that will decrease the total number of assaults/murders/armed robberies nationwide, not simply those where guns were used. If you are simply accounting for semi-auto deaths, then you wouldn't be able to count in the Oklahoma bombing deaths/injuries.

Can you see the lack of logic that many gun control advocates use? They are demonizing a particular type of weapon. If banning semi-automatic weapons would bring down the total number of assaults/murders/armed robberies nationwide (every weapon, including fists & explosives), then I can see the point of a ban.

However, when the average assault/murder/robbery is performed, do you really think the perpetrator is unloading more than a couple shots?

Let the logic in, and set your emotions aside for a moment.

Again, what would gun control advocates like to see as a result of banning semi-autos or all guns? Which would they like banned? What is their ultimate goal? Specifically. Someone please tell me?
