After listening to the 2013 DC recording entitled "Human Apostates", I have this to say. This group of men (GB) have made themselves an enemy of logic and truth. Their tactics and propaganda smack of Christendom's techniques to keep membership. They are spreading the "appealing to authority" mentality that the Devil is using to bring this world in a complete 1984-like condition. They are proving themselves friends of the Devil by spreading his mentality! "Your house is abandoned to you (GB)". I hope those men change NOW, before judgement day comes. I am sure their mental wickedness and foolishness is stuck hard in them (men seldom truly change).

On p. 28 of the PDF The Truth Changes: The Watchtower July 15, 2013 it states:
Somehow, the GB manages to extract two separate appointments from this passage:
Who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over
his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time? Happy is that slave
if his master on arriving finds him doing so! Truly I say to YOU, He will
appoint him over all his belongings. (Matthew 24:45-47 NWT)
From my initial considerations of this scripture, I can see how a Bible researcher could “extract two separate appointments from this passage”. Notice:
Who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over
his domestics (first appointment), to give them their food at the proper time? Happy is that slave
if his master on arriving finds him doing so! Truly I say to YOU, He will
appoint him over all his belongings (second appointment). (Matthew 24:45-47 NWT)
Any thoughts to the contrary?

Sad Discussion Regarding Beards
by turtleturtle inso both my wife and i are awake to ttatt.
we are still active, patiently waiting for the org to implode.
being active, it is evident this is happening as a quickening.. we were having a discussion regarding shaving & beards.

I think I may grow a kept up beard just to filter out friends vs pretend friends. Would be a quick and great way to do so.

So both my wife and I are awake to TTATT. We are still active, patiently waiting for the org to implode. Being active, it is evident this is happening as a quickening.
We were having a discussion regarding shaving & beards. My face always feels horrible for about 24 hours after shaving. Something very unnatural about it to me (and I'm in fair shape but have a rounded face shape). Anyway, she loves beards on me also. I told her one drawback would be that I was worried some of the brothers and sisters would be hesitant to hang out with us as much. We both paused for a sec and I said "Whoa, I can't believe I just said that. That is so sad." She agreed.
Anyway, reminded me that I need to sift out my real friends in the cong and forget about the ones that are that superficial.

Need Help Finding Article
by turtleturtle ini am looking for a questions from readers in the wt.
the question was along the lines of asking why the wt promoted the stake, rather than the cross, even though history shows the romans did use the cross in executions.. the answer from the wt was along the lines of admitting that the romans did use crosses for execution, but in the area where jesus' death took place, it was commonplace to use stakes, since lumber was not readily available.. can anyone find this for me?.

Exclusivity Mentality
by turtleturtle ini was listening to my favorite radio personality, and he was talking about the "exclusivity mentality" in law enforcement.
it sounded a lot like the exclusivity that happens in the kingdom hall with some groups of elders.
heck, in our hall, the elders have exclusive elder parties, usually after the co's elder meeting.

Greetings all,
I was listening to my favorite radio personality, and he was talking about the "exclusivity mentality" in law enforcement. It sounded a lot like the exclusivity that happens in the Kingdom Hall with SOME groups of Elders. Heck, in our hall, the Elders have exclusive Elder parties, usually after the CO's Elder meeting. No one but the Elders are invited.
Anyway, I wanted to share this concept with my spouse. So, does anyone have a non JW related article about the "exclusivity mentality"? I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!

Do You Appreciate Our Spiritual Heritage?
para. 16
If a person clings to false doctrines, such as the Trinity and the immortality of the soul, he cannot benefit from the ransom. But we can.
So, no JW has been able to benefit from the ransom up until certain points, since the previous "understanding" about the FDS, tribulation, worshipping Jesus, the cross, and "this generation" was wrong?
I am sure the WT would argue that they mean the "core" doctrines. However, who decides what a core doctrine is? Isn't not worshipping Jesus and understanding who the FDS is a pretty big, core doctrine?
Thoughts?
