Spot on...it was especially easy for me to use mine (and to nap) since I was responsible for the debit/credit card machines and had a room to myself.
so i have made it through two days of the district convention, i half heartily payed attention during it (whoever evented smart phones is a genius!
) anyway i noticed the parts were pretty dummed down this year, especially the demos...and there were a lot of them they all were very unrealistic and over dramatized.
even the speakers parts were pretty dumb and scripted.

the boys at wt hq seem pretty sincere about the end being just a whisper away.
much of what they are doing smells of a batten down the hatches and brace for impact mindset.
i know this is a drum they have been beating for decades, but.... [if !supportlists]- [endif]the intensity seems to be ramping up.. [if !supportlists]- [endif]they know more about the lawsuits, low baptisms, youth retention rate, apostate uprising, etc... than we do.. [if !supportlists]- [endif]i think many of them really believe they are gods one true organization and they view these events as prophesy-fulfilling.. [if !supportlists]- [endif]i think they foresee their own impending demise.. they are taking all the guess work out of the state of their stability.
Hehe...I was kind of disappointed that this site didn't have its own profile management system.
the wild beast represent?.
consider each of the heads of the beast described.
john saw represents the kingdom of.
I did not know that there were other views on the statue. My fault for not researching it. It makes perfect sense that the feet represent the divided Roman kingdoms. I just hate how the WT twists everything to fit their doctrines.
I also did not know that there are two letters and one book in the Bible that do not mention Jehovah at all. Mind-boggling.
What you say at the beginning is true - no one can explain it but they all swear by it. That explains the very few hands that went up for every question during this study, which I totally expected. The next study should be just as interesting.

When I discovered this site on Google, I didn't come on here expecting to find "apostates", since it's a forum. But by the time I found out that this site was considered an "apostate" site, it was too late - I was already waist deep in threads to read, and couldn't stop reading.
i went to the last day of the dc here in west palm beach, just to make my mother company.
wow, what a difference can a year outside the lie can do to perception.
it was the same crap as you'd expect but there is a plot twist: the speaker was so into the talk he was actually starting to shout and wound up mentioning that they now know how many angels will be needed to destroy everyone at armaggeddon.
I didn't hear this either. The last speaker of the last day finished his talk and then discussed the recent tax issue in France, but nothing like that.
On a side note: I attended the DC in West Palm Beach also. Do you live in South Florida or somewhere else?
jehovah's witnesses and many other religions believe jesus will return or has returned (invisibly .
Concerning the bit about Jesus returning "invisibly", I've always had this question: does the thousand-year reign start when he returned invisibly or during the new system? Because if he really did come in 1914 (which is total BS), then that would already be 100 years down (in 2014), unless that "1 day for 1000 years" rule comes into play again.
Aware - that's an interesting scenario. It reminds me of something that I told a JW the other day - he said that God told Adam and Even to be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and that this will hasn't yet been done. I replied that there are 7 billion people on the earth right now, and filling doesn't have to mean that every bit of space needs to be occupied by humans, since there are things like forests, farms, and other resources that need to be present in order to sustain human life. I told him that 7 billion is a number that fills the earth pretty well, especially when you consider the fact that there are highly populated areas on the earth, beginning with India and China. The earth has been filled - it may not be in the "New System TM ", but it's been done.
dear randall.
good morning!.
here is the daniel of brazil (former bethel).. this week at the forum of former jehovah's witnesses had an interesting news!
I am pretty sure that 99% the "fading/closet" JWs who are staying inside the Org for friends and family (they can't bear to suffer the shunning) would quickly come out of the closet when presented with their 10% tithing bill from the KH and officially announce they have now disassociated themselves!
I agree about them coming out and leaving, but I don't agree about them being cheapskates...no one wants to give their money away to something they don't believe in, especially if that something has deceived them.
ok....i am trying to go inactive to fade.
however all my family is in, except for one relative.
i cannot move away.
The JW speak kills me too. My family recently had lunch with another family and two of their friends, and one of them said, "don't be surprised if info about the "Big Day TM " is right there in the bible and we just can't see it yet". But the idiot completely forgot that the bible says that only Jehovah knows that info, no one else. Also, he can't seem to realize that there hasn't been a single WT prediction that actually turned out to be true.

You need to just start saving money, and seeking outside frienships.
This is very important, particularly the friendship part. I learned this earlier on this website too, about a girl who was still in but planning her way out and keeping her outside social life in check.
No one should be forced to worship in a way that he finds unacceptable or be made to choose between his beliefs and his family.
This is a jewel. I love it when I find contradictory statements in the WT's own publications.where you're an ex-jw or still a jw, if you live in miami, florida (broward/palm beach county is cool too), i want to hear your story.
i've already given mine, but i'll tell it again just for the purpose of this thread.. i was researching masturbation because of the fact that the wt makes it out to be such a bad thing despite admitting that it isn't even mentioned in the bible.
along with that, i was researching "porneia" in general, and then i discovered this site.
I didn't ask the original question because of Haulover...I just wanted to smoke out all the locals. Also, I have my suspicions of some people in my hall that are probably mentally out, but I'm not sure how to confront them. I've learned (thankfully not the hard way) that I can't really trust anyone, because I don't know who will turn around and rat me out, maybe after feeling guilty about it.
