Crime is d own this year in most major cities. There is an election and the media both sides of it is getting everyone riled up.
When the election is over everything will be back to normal.

I love AMERICA . I am a black male, and i have experienced all the ugly stuff that comes with it. My father lived in the same home as his grandmother who was a slave.
They were sharecroppers and they experienced the worst of the worst. However, even as a witness he always said he loved the freedom of this country. He had 9 brothers, 5 who died in wars, from ww2 to Vietnam. They all loved this country and what it stood for when if they never got to experience ALL that it had to offer.
I've been lucky and worked hard andthings worked in my favor so that I can say I am well off.
This country has issues, but what offers the rest of the world is beyond compare and no where else measures up.
James Brown says it best...

I have been to over 30 countries and some I have spent considerable time in. America is still the place I have been treated the best

Do You Think the Federalist System in the US Gives States too Much Power?
by RubaDub inas time goes on, i keep rethinking this whole thing about states' rights here in the us.
the more i think about it, i think less states' power may be a way to reduce some of the craziness going on.. as mentioned on another thread, you can't even drive now into some states without them checking your license tag where you are from so you have have to be quarantined.
states such as georgia are pretty much wide open.

The Judge was a Democratic appointed judge and sentence the lady who had kids at home to several days in jail and a 7,000 dollar fine.
@pistolpete
this is the insanity of Democrats that drives me crazy as well. The lovely part of AMERICA is if you live somewhere that doesn't suit your belief system you can up and leave to another location that suits you.

@rubadum
I guess you haven't spent much time in California or North Carolina.
The percentage of people who speak American English in NC is higher than California...
California is also one of the only states that allows a person to marry their first cousin.
Florida, the state you are from has the highest rates of incest in the USA.
Your attempts at humor fail... over and over. Atleast people continue to humor you :)

Disagree. The states of the United States are basically like countries within themselves. Huge populations in some, huge economies, and extremely diverse cultures.
can you imagine if the same criteria of California was enforced on Mississippi?
The county I live in in NC does not sell liquor on Sunday and it can't be purchased on any day before 12. Meanwhile a county over there are no restrictions. We prefer it that way. If you want to get drunk go elsewhere, people move here and stay here because there is an old time country feel. We like it.
Our top cop refuses to enforce insane corona restrictions, and he refuses to even consider any of the foolishness regarding gun restrictions. We love it
