While out in Lumberton I saw Mr. Morris… he looked well for his age. A bit of a belly on him but nothing too bad for his age.

Where is Tony?

a few months later it was revealed that the watchtower bought him a house in lumberton, north carolina.. however, and correct me if i am wrong, since leaving the gb nobody has reported seeing tony attending jw meetings or participating in field service.
in fact nobody has reported seeing him anywhere, not even at a local liquor store.

The Book Study Group - Reminiscing

i remember a time when a new sister turned up with very smart jacket and shirt.
yet she was wearing trousers and when questioned by everyone she said "blimey, i think geoff (her husband) is wearing my skirt!".

The first real breasts I saw were at the book study. Our presiding overseer had 5 daughters and the oldest one was a rebel to beat all rebels.
One day at the book study she came downstairs about 3 minutes after it started with a 90 percent see thru top on!!! Every sister was covering these kids eyes and the overseer stated yelling at her. He told her to get up and go change but she refused. The mother tried to pry her out the seat and she WOULD NOT MOVE. Enormous breasts were bouncing all over the place.
After about 3 minutes of this back and forth he asked us all to leave and he ended the book study. Everyone hung out in the driveway and you could hear him yelling and screaming at her. Great time to be aliveLink +10 / -0 -

would these kids not feel more important than their mothers let alone other women.

It’s a shame that god didn’t make sure that he used his powers to make sure we had the right info. It just seems weird that the guy who created the universe has no way of letting humans know that he wants women to have all the same privileges as men. 2000 years and no updates, addendums or cc:’s

The Bible says women should be quiet. The Bible relegates women to a lesser position in the congregation. No surprise they are just following suit. The Bible is a joke and they are just following suit.

the only repercussions are that the individual who is aware of it can decide to "mark" them and not go to the local club or bar with the individual, but they are still obligated to go door to door in the ministry with them, and even speak to them at the kn as if nothing is wrong and not feel obligated to tell anyone else?
this is crazy.. so they are also basically saying that a person can carry on a romantic (but none sexual) relationship with an unbeliever and still go out in service and participate in meetings?

My family went through this in the 90's, and she was not allowed to give talks, go out in service and she was definitely marked as a talk was given about not dating an unbeliever. My father was a ministerial servant at the time was told that if he continued to let her live in the house while she dated a "worldly" person, he would be removed as a servant.
This resulted in her being put out of the house and she ultimately had to move in with the guy and his mother. The circuit overseer even came by our home to chastise my father about this with 2 other elders. So as far as I remember this has not always been the case.

I’ve never attempted to knock on his door, and to be honest, I don’t think it’s something that I would do. I mean, I was at Bethel and I’ve eaten at his table 4 or five times granted it was over 20 some odd years ago, but it would seem rather strange.
I would appear to be some kind of stalker, and I’m definitely not. It’s just that I happen to go by his neighborhood on the way to a tractor supply that’s near him.

Yes, the other home is literally right around the corner and there’s never been a car there and you can see directly through it because the places are basically just new construction tract houses.
At the Home that’s supposed to be theirs. There is literally a garden chair that’s pushed directly up under the door handle of the house and it’s been there since October so unless they’re going out to the back door all the time and have a different car and refuse to drive the Cadillac, they are not there
