  seriously, it’s getting to a point that you can’t make a negative comment about someone without being charged as a racist, homophobe or sexist!

  if you criticize a female, you are obviously sexist.

  if you criticize someone who happens to be gay, you must hate homosexuals.

  When should you Disassociate yourself?

  i have been having discussion with my sister (relative), who is an active witness, about writing a letter of disassociation.

  the reason being is that i have not attended the meetings in over a year and it's been 4 years since i have went out in the jw ministry.. i going to try to sum this topic up.

  my sister think that i should not da myself because i have not done any immoral act in her thinking.

  DA was the route I took because I did not want to be a jw anymore. If you fade you are still a JW, like it or not.

  I still do not understand the "playing by their rules" tagline that is repeated over and over. Like literally who came up with the idea to attach that saying to DA'ing?

  If anything I would th ink fading is playing by their rules because you are literally to scared to make a definite decision and ultimately remaining in the org

  North Carolina, U.S.A. I love America. Each state is like a country within itself so I understand why some people in some states dont like it where they are.

  I pay for my healthcare, I paid for school, and I wont go to jail for speaking my mind.

  I am close to the mountains, close to the beach, the weather is wonderful.

  I ask American citizens to look up the h2a Visa. Imagine getting paid 15 bucks an hour... no taxes paid... no housing costs... not paying for food... not paying for transportation. Meanwhile citizens are in the street getting 7.25 an hour.

  Then remember that many do not get Visa yet still work for the same pay.

  They get free healthcare no matter what CNN tells you and I know many that fo and openly admit it.

  Middle class families cry over immigrants fleeing yet Chicago has thousands of homeless teens yet none of these people are clamoring to help them

  West Virginia has thousands of impoverished children who live in conditions as bad as those in Mexico and Honduras but no one wants to adopt them...

  Americans priorities are not right

  ShirleyJW I was quoting a very famous song by James Brown during the civil rights struggles that said those exact words and was used at a variety of rallies to state the feeling of AFRICAN AMERICANS at the time.

  When I say black people I am referring to black people who have lineage in this country dating back to slavery. I am not including immigrants and I am definitely not including brown people.

  I suggest all black Americans revisit the time period in this country when those brown people refused to be classified as minorities because they viewed blacks with lineage here as beneath them. It wasnt until many in areas such as Oakland etc... realized they were still minorities whether they liked it or not.

  Black issues are not the same as brown issues... period.

  Many black immigrants from Africa, the Carribean etc... refused to be lumped in with native black Americans because they feel they are better and more motivated.

  Ask a Jamaican in Brooklyn if they are African American and wait for the response. Ask a Nigerian what they think about African American culture and prepare for the worst.

  None, your first sentence is not only true, but also a fact that puzzles me.

  The Clinton's pushed a law that BIDEN penned that prompomoted these insane drug laws that targeted black men and compounded these conditions.... yet black people love the Clinton's and Bidens like they are Jesus Christ.

  The days of black people saying, "they dont want anyone to give them nuthin' just open up the door and let me get it myself" disappeared when dems promoted welfare as a great alternative to hardwork. It's so annoying I cant bear talking about it lol

  LV101 - I agree. I want all colors of people to benefit in this country. However each group has special needs that need to be addressed.

  I have no problem pointing out the flaws that exist in the black families in America. They need specific types of help.

  My problem is the incessant need the left has to help people who are not citizens. It drives me insane. I am doing very well for myself financially, however I see many peers white and black whose communities are being upended by this influx of immigrants.

  Can you imagine seeing your child's class teacher to student ration jump from 1:10 to 1: 28? Behavioral help disappear for ESL classes. A county free lunch program disappear because of immigrant influx. Imagine a 1200% county increase in Hispanics yes twelve hundred percent in a matter 25 years? This isnt sustainable no matter how AOC frames it

  I think back to Barack Obama and I say that it was great he demonstrated to actual native born African Americans that they can reach that point. However let us not forget that his black side is Kenyan so although he is black he does not have a history in this country to understand the unique generational experience and values of blacks with a history here. His presidency and subsequent decisions demonstrate that. It is the same reason Kamala Harris will not get the black vote either.

  Obama pushed abortion, gay rights, benefits for immigrants, as well as a further reliance on welfare. He also did nothing to reform prisons as he said as well as lighter sentences. People say he had opposution... yet he had the power of executive order and never used it. Yet Trump has.

  Trump assisted HBCUs, not Obama. Economic empowerment zones

  Less focus on welfare and more focus on self sufficiency.

  Obama did everything he could to get benefits for dreamers... non citizens... and gay rights. Yet there was a huge lack in focusing on improving the condition in the neighborhoods similar to Chicago.

  Now that the Hispanic population has bypassed the black population you will see dems focus on Hispanic rights, black females, and gays. Further pushing black fathers out of homes and further compounding the issues they face...
