You would think that Pepsi would have learned a lesson from McDonald's: if a customer orders coffee (e.g., a hot beverage) and burns herself by spilling it all over her ancient, wrinkled cookie, she can make money for being stupid by suing McDonald's.
Times like that make me embarrassed to be an American.

I corresponded for a bit with Randy Watters, and he suggested that I check out this site. I never got around to it, but when a woman contacted me and suggested that I join the Women Awake! e-mail group, someone there mentioned this site. I finally made it over, joined up, and haven't left.

"alot" instead of "a lot" (drives me NUTS. I correct e-mails from my boss with red letters and send them back to him. He does this on purpose, I swear.)
"cloths" instead of "clothes" (I'm still beating this into my husband, who writes "cloths" constantly.)
"fourty" instead of "forty"
"shoud" instead of "should"
"sike" instead of "psych" or "psyche"
"quasi" (I just hate this word; I lost a Regional Spelling Bee because of it.)
"Organise" instead of "organize" (This isn't "incorrect", I just like the Z. Apologies to any Aussies who might be offended by this. )

People who correct my spelling of "travelled." Yes, I know it is commonly spelled "traveled," but since when do I do anything that is 'common?'

in all honesty, could you say that you were h.a.p.p.y?
i mean really happy.
I enjoyed some of it as a child, the association with other kids in my hall and neighboring congregations. I didn't mind being different in school and not celebrating holidays; I actually took pride in being different (and I'm "different" to this day, let me assure you! )
As I got older and decided to stretch my wings a bit, there was never the freedom to make my own decisions -- something I couldn't handle. I was baptized at 14, and I really started hating it right around 15-16. Hung around long enough to get reinstated, then stopped going to meetings at 19. Haven't been back, turned my mother down flat 4 years ago when she invited me & Hubby to the Memorial. ("Thank you for the invitation, but we aren't interested.")
Happier now than I ever have been, although I still get angry at the BS I was raised with.
