since when are we discussing whether to believe in god or not? it was always about the believe in the bible. no one says god cannot exist...so to believe the universe has a deeper meaning is not unscientific...its just a choice of believe - with neither evidence for nor against it.

doesn't it strike you that all these scientists were raised in a christian environment? don't you think it might be possible they were christians because of this upbringing - as they would have been moslims, hindus etc. if they would have grown up in asia?

just because its hard for you to imagine something doesn't mean it is impossible. for me it is inconceivable how someone can believe in an invisible man in the sky who created the universe and who watches everything we do - nevertheless such people obviously exist.

i can really feel with you! i went through the same thing only a few month ago. i was always hoping she could free herself from the cult...and she was hoping i would see the WT is the true religion...we both suffered for 1.5 years...and then it finally ended.
Jws are really put on a guilt trip if they are together with non JWs. it doesn't mean he doesn't love you...he just doesn't have a choice i guess.
i think you should check out if he might be able to free himself...but if he can't then you should try to end the relationship...i know it will be very hard but it is the only way.
