  quite a scenario !

  let me make clear right away that i am NOT at all sympathetic with fashism!

  but i have to ask you how you came to this conclusion?

  hitler made a couple of reasonable claims that the other european countries would have had to accept without being backed up by the US. granted he might have declared war on poland eventually (which is not proven however) to get back the territory that was taken away from germany after the first war...but there is absolutely no evidence that would suggest that he would have attacked any other countries. russia was attacked after it became obvious that stalin had planned an attack against germany. and a war with the west was never wanted by hitler.

  although it was terrible what happened to jews they were not killed deliberately before the war started...hitler tried to deport them to other countries including palestine.

  from where do you get the idea that japan would have had attacked australia? knowing they would have to declare war on britain in this case? that seems strange. however i have to agree that japan did terrible things to the chinese and koreans. so this might justify taking action against them...although britain and france were not very nice to their colonies either and the question arises why these countries were allowed to occupy 2/3 of the world.

  how many peopel are you willing to sacrifice for this purpose? if you could get a special force that goes in and takes out saddam hussein without much colateral damage then it could be considered a reasonable thing to do.

  but i am afraid this is not whats gonna happen.

  many thousands of people will die ... and for what? how likely is it that hussein would attack another country with his nukes (if he actually gets them eventually)? why would he do that? how could he occupy lets say saudi arabia with the US troops stationed in this country? its just very unlikely.

  also without the support of the US the second WW would have never started.

  surprise surprise i have to agree with Logic!

  LDH,

  its funny that you mentioned pol pot. i hope you realize the US has supported this mass murderer.

  also did the US care about the atrocities saddam committed as long as he was their ally? i don't think so.

  did the US bomb panama city and killed 2000 civilians? did the US bomb north vietnam and killed millions of civilians? how about what they did in korea? etc.etc.

  why doesn't the US condemn the actions taken by Isreal? why did they support these religious fanatics in afghanistan during the cold war knowing what kind of nutcases these guys were?

  conclusion...i don't think the US has the moral authority to dictate to the world which governments are ligitimate and which are not.

  how sad and selfish is that?

  reading this stuff made me really sick. it is so sad that they don't realize what their attitude is.

  i also tried to get a memebership on this site...but i think you really have to be a member of a congregation to get entrance.

  also even with entrance...you can't post anything remotely critical..they will censor it immediately and remove from the forum.

  i have announced i am on a crusade to encourage skeptics to think on the issue in a way they probably have never done before.

  i initially have made the mistake of cramming everything into one, two or three posts.

  this i should have immediately recognized is an impossibilty because what i have in mind requires a great amount of meditation to fu;;y comprehend.

  ok i have to say i am getting more and more confused.

  you seem to know something about computers...

  for most people computers are a miracle...they have no clue how they work and on what principles they are built on. so lets say you bring an indian from the amazon rain forrest who has never had contact with civilization into contact with this technology he might come to the conclusion that this is the work of God.

  you however know that this is the work of humans...pretty complicated stuff but still the work of humans. you have the knowledge and the literature that can show the indian how a computer is made...and that it is not a miracle.

  however the indian refuses to look at the evidence..because he prefers his view...that this is the creation of God.

  how reasonable would you consider this standpoint of the indian? and in this light how reasonable is your standpoint to refuse to even look at the scientific findings and explainations supporting evolution?do you think all scientists are nutcases that have nothing to do all day but making up the outragous nonsense? if this is so then why do we have all this technology that is based on scientific fndings made in the last 200 years? why do drugs work? why can we create transgenic animals and plants? why can we clone animals?

  i would be more than willing to read any evidence that supports your point of view...what would be the point in refusing the possibility to live in paradise int he future etc.? do you consider all of us crazy?

  hello Zech.,

  i am sorry maybe i misunderstood you...but so far i read only your questions in the beginning and your explaination as to why we cannot understand how God came to be...the other posts were rebuttals that didn't add to the topic.

  see what i would like to witness is somehting like a spirit in action...something flying around etc. or a statsitic that would show that prayers do help (unfortunately yeru didn't come up with more details on this one study).

  also i am not sure what your other questions were supposed to proof?!

  have you ever noticed something supernatural...and if so what was it?

  i have to say i never experienced anything that would not be explained by mainstream physics respectively science.
