of course NK is no threat for the US...but it would be way more difficult to eliminate ding dong than to eliminate saddam.

besides it remains to be seen how china acts in a possible war.

i have a request.. could you perhaps state all the real facts that support the idea of the gb being inspired by god?.

i am not talking about feelings, faith etc.

but of real proveable fact...things that would be accepted in a court or that would survive scientific testing.

several questions:

a) what is the difference between inspired and spirit guided?

b) what is the reason you follow the GB and not lets say the mormons...whether it is inspired or spirit guided...you have to have some convincing evidence.

c) my original question was if there is any real evidence supporting the WT's claim of being God's channel. the problem is without sound proof one cannot say whether the WT is God's channel or not. there are about a million different religions each claiming to be God chosen. ... so what neutral evidence exists (like a fullfilled prophecy)?

I say, take them out and liberate their poor citizens, too. The US can easily handle full-scale war with them and Sadaam at the same time.

In the last sixty years, going into full-scale War with the US and its allies and losing has been the BEST thing that ever happened to countries. We're the only Country in the history of mankind (to my knowledge) that rebuilds countries we've vanquished, gives them a free society, and hands the country back to them, and does this to Countries who attacked us first with the goal of our destruction.

NK is not as poorly equipped as saddam. they have quite sophisticated anti aircraft missiles...so the Us couldn't just fly over there and bomb them. this would be quite a lossy war. besides NK has most likely already 2 nuclear warheads ...and they would use them as a last resort.

by the way...the Us rebuilds only countries they need. germany against the russians...south korea against the north. the US is NOT a charity!!!

anyone here ever wanted or had the desire to serve in the military while you were a jw in good standing?

would you do it now if you were younger and within the ages that they require for new recruits?.

are you willing to give your life for your country and what you believe in?

a) my parents gave me life

b) noone gives voluntarily to the state. everybody is working for his own interests. especially the representatives of the different countries.

hence i don't owe anything to any country....i owe to selected people.

Most ridiculous statements from the JW stage?

we have all sat at jw meetings and heard some ridiculous statements that were either shocking or just plain old bunk.

usually it is the same jw individuals that make those statements time and time again.

you know the type..... you can almost expect such comments from them.. jws place great importance on what statements or persons are 'stage worthy'.

on one of the 5 meetings i attended an old (in his mid 80ties) sh**head from brooklyn came over to new jersey and gave a talk about the new order. he said how important it would be that the sisters in god's beautiful organisation would learn how to make bread rather than pursuing worldly carreers... he was afraid noone would know how to do it in the new system! what a BRAINDEAD MORON!

the wts turned out to be right and in the next couple of years the great tribulation broke out?

would you have a change of heart and think "yeah maybe the were right all along!"?

would you even consider joining them again?

yes you are right! the world will indeed end when either A) a large asteroid or other object hits us or B) the sun becomes a nova in about 5 billion years.

UK Gun Laws: Possession = 5 Years Imprisonment.

following the deaths by shooting of 2 teenage girls last week, the uk government is speeding through even tighter gun controls than ever before.. already, high court judges have been told to impose a minimum 5 year jail sentence to anyone found in possesssion of a hand-gun in a public place.

also, consideration is being given to outlawing replica firearms as well as air powered weapons.

much is being made of the violent lyrics sometimes contained in rap - music which appears to often endorse gun culture.. see:http://news.bbc.co.uk/ for full story.. englishman..

i would say it is a fatal mistake to assume a gun would protect you. in an assault you don't have the time to get the weapon...hence it is useless anyway. the only possible outcome is that the intruder shoots you first.
