I've gotten in trouble the exact same way. It is mortifying!! And yet, you are letting your kids have fun in a normal kid way without introducing freaky rule 'no no' nonsense to them. So keep that in perspective. Remember the witnesses are mind controlled and know not what they do (because they haven't researched it) and enjoy life. If you get called by elders, ignore as long as possible. The time between you being active witnesses and elders addressing this issue matters. -

I was given lovely baby showers by a few different sisters.
When rumours were going around about us, a family we greatly treasure tried to be hospitable to us. I still really, really love them but we distanced ourselves from them and didnt go over. They were a very real rare witness family. One time in service the sister even told me she has doubts.

Jesus didn't come to condemn doubters. Jesus was a revolutionary. He came to rebuke the religious leaders of his day for being hypocrites and legalists. Jesus would have shown up at the convention and taken out a whip. -

Back in the Basement

i guess the persecution is really kicking in if the electric company has shut off their electricity, or the jws are really, really paranoid that the government is gonna get them if they have the lights on!.
only one guy is smart enough to use his tablet (far right), the rest of the jws are old school, using a lantern to read their bibles in the dark!

Elders, disfellowshipping, & baseball umpires
by sir82 inok bear with me for second on this one..... i was just reading the other day about "pitchf/x", a type of technology that can accurately track whether a pitch in baseball is a ball or a strike.. a couple of analysts went over 6 years of baseball data.. it turns out that umpires are wrong about balls & strikes about 14% of the time.
what they call a "ball" is really a "strike" about 13% of the time, and what they call a "strike" is really a "ball" about 15% of the time.
here is the article.. that's at the major league level.. umpires have to work their way up to the major leagues, just as players do.

Korean witnesses have it very bad. There's all the normal pressure of being Korean (you have to be perfect!) which is exponentialized by also being a witness.
