After the first wake up, all their other bizarre teachings started falling like dominos. It was like the theme song to 'Community.'
i can't count the reasons I should stay
one by one they all just fade away
it was a simple question: isn't jesus my "mediator" if i put faith in him like the scriptures say?
the research to that answer, from the w79 4/1 p. 31, was mind blowing.
how dare they deny me a belief firmly stated in the scriptures?

i hope everyone is having a good saturday.
i've visited this many times in the past month or so, joined yesterday and finally got the nerve to post!
needless to say, i'm super nervous, being new to this whole experience.
Even if you're born in, there's that lingering feeling that something is just not right. What I don't understand is the people who never have had that feeling! It takes a special kind of blindness, maybe.
Looking forward to your story, and congrats on your courage to come and write. When I was still in I never posted.
Im hoping your family stays intact through all of this. Something is going to change, because people can't keep pretending forever. It's a scary time but I think we all would say it was worth it. I definitely say it is.

please give reasons for all the lurkers.
and why does shunning show the same attitude as the pharisees?
I'll make this simple: Get baptized to make your family and community happy. Later change your mind about the religion, lose your family and anyone you've ever been allowed to be close to.
Loving? No.
Controlling. Vengeful. Hateful.
this is the first year i have not been at a summer assembly.. the friends here locally just got back from the regional in our area.. they mostly took their vacation time from work to attend.. while they were gone i had an epiphany...... why is it that the rank and file take their summer vacation time to attend an assembly (we have all heard this hammered in from the platform) whereas the governing body attend as part of their "work".. it cant be as simple as "well, they are giving talks" because there are many brothers that give talks from the rank and file also who have used up precious vacation hours and drug their entire family there plus give their parts.. or what about other brothers and sisters who volunteer and clean at the assembly.
on vacation.. so the pubs.
travel at their own expense, pay for their own rooms and food, and give parts and it is supposed to be viewed as their vacation.. the gb and c.o.s travel to the same assembly and stay in provided for accomadations, give a talk or two and they are "working".. what is that about?.
AND everywhere they go they are worshipped as gods among men!
but I forgot to add to my post above....what do you get to hear during all those talks? That you are not good enough. That you need to be doing more more more and giving more more more of your time and money and energy because it is never quite enough, and are you sure Jehovah loves you and you will make it through Armageddon?

you can probably guess how this story goes.. i began dating a non-witness boy.
he knew i was a baptised witness and understood the consequences i faced for dating him.
we agreed to keep our relationship secret, which was easy considering our 200 mile distance.
the elders did not stay long and it wasn`t an official visit sanctioned by the boe/cobe because they were not from my (ex)congregation.
we talked a little about my situation and the fact that my wife does not talk to me and how non-scriptural her behavior is.. then they mentioned the rc and how it was the best convention for the last 20 years.
one thing they did mention was the fact that the borg was clearly preparing them for persecution.
take a look at this caleb & sophia rc badge for children.. .
what's the motivation to make special childrens' badges?
i smell indoctrination!.
The badge: Striking difference between caleb's pose exuding pride and confidence and the boy posted in the funny video yesterday by Funchback.
We all know which one is more realistic!
the youths: nice group of kids in that selfie. I can't help but wonder how many will still be witnesses in 5 years.
