  dangit.......like i gotta cook for this hot chick tonight, ........i rented a suite at the mayaguez beach hotel, and she's totally into me.

  there was/is a sister in my old hall who was a pharmaceutical sales rep and she was a huge proponent of anything in the drug industry.

  when someone had a headache, she was the first to say "take an asprin.

  Organic fruits like strawberries with no removable skins are important vs. Organics like oranges. So, if grocery money is limited, one can choose which organics to buy based on that model.Cancer is rising in the world and it's not for no reason. It's chemicals. I'm not sure non GMO's are important, but I do believe foods should be labeled anyway. People should be able to see what's in their food, it is our right as consumers and Monsanto is evil.
  Advil is rather awesome and works. Otherwise I'm not a big fan of the pharmaceutical industry.

  how do women really view circumcision?

  I didn't have my sons circumcized. One had complications from an infection and one didn't. When they were little, neither of them would let me clean them there because it tickled too much, and my circumcized husband was never much help, so I hope they do this sometimes on their own and I have reminded them but I doubt they clean it well, if ever.I have a question about orgasm. Because the uncircumcised penis is much more sensitive, is it true that the man having sex will be done very quickly? And similarly, I dont at all understand female circumcision. A man very much enjoys female orgasm, usually brought on by clitoral stimulation. If she is circumcized, that is destructive to everyone! She is more likely to refuse sex, and even if she doesn't, she probably doesn't orgasm and he can't enjoy the contractions. Strange tradition.

  ok, i was never baptized, raised jw from one yr old till 15 yr old, never really believed, joined u.s. navy at 20 yr old.

  i used to think(still do) how much the jw organization was like the military!

  to advance, you have to hit certain marks, ( for the military you need high marks in physical fitness) (( could that be field service for jw's?

  Yeah, except witness 'medals' are earned by being 'spiritual'. Which is so ridiculous isn't it. As if spirituality can somehow be graded, ranked. Or as if anyone needs to be sizing up anyone else's spirituality, ever!

  Chronic relapse - what do I do?

  my first post here and unfortunately it is asking for help.. i was a born in jehovah's witness and from my earliest memories, i know i hated being one.

  i hated the embarrassment of being the "outsider" at school and i hated not being allowed to have any friends.

  of course i had the obligatory friends in the kingdom hall - none of whom were my age exactly and none of whom i would have personally chosen to be friends with if i had been left to pick them myself in a natural setting.

  I think you should practice opening up about yourself to more people. People you trust in other areas. Start with just one person. Tell them you need to tell one person who isn't your partner about something traumatic from your past so it can help you move on, and see what happens. Tell them about your fears that you will be laughed at for being different. You have been very open and honest here...I think you can dio it in real life too. You need to challenge yourself with this.

  only a few days ago i was walking around the house in a mindless wander thinking if i needed to seek professional help.

  then i got the courage to seek the comfort of complete strangers on the internet and found a world of support here on this website.

  thank you simon and whoever else has made this website possible.

  I just noticed this post has 97 likes! I've never seen that before!WC, her story is too genuine to be made up, and she doesn't write like John Aquila. It IS a very good story and has brightened the week of many of us. I wrote a PM and she didn't respond, hope she comes back and tells us what's happening with her kids and how they decided to proceed.

  Partaking of emblems

  this year will be my first for by going to the memorial.

  i will get asked by my parents how i can deny jesus even if i don't believe the end is close.

  my thoughts on this are as follows, bear in mind saying it's all make believe is not an option.. i think that jesus intended for everyone to eat the bread and drink the wine.

  I don't quite understand what you are asking. But I think if these are your beliefs, you should go to a real church where you can partake. I partook today, we do it once a month. I don't take it for granted. After my last witness memorial I felt so crappy about myself that I promised I would never reject Jesus by going to a memorial and bowing to peer pressure again. And I haven't. Really, try a real church, especially the week before Easter. A good Friday or Maundy Thursday service would be perfect.

  Conan you are such a thoughtful person. Thanks for your response. Yes most traditional churches do believe in the Trinity. But this does not mean that the father and the son are the same person. They are each individual persons. Jesus is not talking to himself when he calls on the Father. Also, witnesses downplay the role of Jesus. He is given much more attention and adoration in the scriptures than he is given in witness literature and culture. The two do not match up. Good luck in your search. Remember to be strong with the witness friends of yours. But also kind. Say you would like to continue to be friends even if you don't keep studying, maybe you won't lose them entirely. And you can still help them if you want to with food or what they may need. Just be strong, don't feel obligated to join their religion. I think you and your fiancée will be MUCH happier long term if you stiop studying with them. Actually I know so! I am very happy that we here are a part of that. You will have avoided so many complicated problems by not pursuing that religion further.
