  it's rare that i bump into someone from the old hall.

  but it happened yesterday with one of the nicest brothers i remember.. he came into my place of work not knowing i worked there.

  my company is now on his delivery route.

  this subject came to mind with upcoming u k referendum on continued membership of the e. u. departure is commonly known as brexit.

  the rights or wrongs of that issue are not the point of this thread but rather the wts insistence that dubs take no part in such things .. their comments are shown here : " keep yourself in god's love " book from 2014, page 213/4 (quoted in full for clarity).

  "Cult Following" - New album by former JW

  i was listening to "fresh air" today and this review came up for a new album by a former jw, laurel sprengelmeyer/little scream.. http://www.npr.org/2016/05/23/479154048/little-scream-casts-a-dreamy-spell-with-cult-following.

  laurel sprengelmeyer has opened up the possibility that she intends the album titled "cult following" to have more than one meaning, not just a small devoted fan base, but perhaps a reference to having been raised for part of her youth as a jehovah's witness, which she has referred to in an interview as a kind of christian religious cult.. yup.

  Omg, not only your picture but your full name as well!! Thanks for sharing that. It's sort of catastrophic and hilarious at the same time...and definitely what NOT to do when trying to fade.

  My best friend was still a (disobedient, guilt ridden) believer for 10 years before finally doing research as well. Congrats on mental freedom, finally.

  I'm getting baptized

  i know i've started similar topics before but this time i'm serious.

  my parents have been constantly pressuring me and after yesterday's watchtower study they asked me if i was going to be baptized this summer... and i said yes.

  i probably should have thought about it more before making a final decision, but they're pretty much forcing me to do it anyway.

  I don't think they'll shun you if you never get baptized. They will be disappointed and the relationship will be stifled, but I don't think they will shun you. Only time will tell but that's my hunch.

  Finding my mental condition getting worse not sure what to do?

  i'm pretty sure i have ptsd because of this cult.

  i now experience headaches pretty much daily and find myself poping excedrin migraine pills 3-4 a day.

  also i'm drinking alcohol a bit to take the edge off.

  When you talk to a doctor don't be afraid to mention the stress you are under because of this religion that you are stuck in and think may be a trigger for your headaches and ask if they can refer you to a counselor. They won't be able to help you fully unless you are completely honest.

  Plus I'm like REALLY lame about coming up with new topics. I think I'm up to 4 now.

  Oh! I just got the 1914 joke :). ...maybe at my 1975th post something magical will happen?? Or will it just fizzle out like the year did....
