not sure about the multi-mational part, that would mean I have at least BEEN to other countries. (Race refers to skin color ie: Caucasian, Asian, etc; Ethnicity refers to ethnic background ie: African American, Italian-American, Latino, etc; Nationality refers to contry of origin.) So I am a white (race) Italian(ethnicity)-American(Nationality). Does that make sense? I think I just confused the hell out of myself. So where is my apology anyway?? ;)

Qcmbr: There is a difference (in my opinion) between fundamentalist mormon and the mormons. (Like fundamentalist christian vs christian). The fact is, there ARE sects of mormons (in some midwest states) that live in their own communities by their own rules and practice peadophelia and rape of women and girls. THAT can't be denied. But I certainly will not attribute that to the Mormon faith but rather these strict fundamentalist sects of Mormonism. Does that make sense?

Immigration and weddings...

waiting in the immigration process, in a word, sucks.
add to that the we got shafted by a lawyer who didn't do what he was supposed to, so we lost 6 months of processing time not having our application in.

Well since my Italian ancestors were not in the country yet when slavery was in effect, I can't apologize for that, but as an American, I can apologize on behalf of the country I was born into for its history. Although I would also need to apologize to 1/8th of my body because I have Choktaw native american in me and as I have learned, it was a tribe that consisted a lot of runaway and free slaves. The problem is, I look too damn white (especially in the winter) but my dark curly hair saves me a little in that department. Ok so thats two oppressed sides of me (oh and don't forget I am female and we have been shat on far longer than blacks/jews/etc. ever were), native american and black....but the fact that Italians had Mousselini (sp?) and well...we all know how that went I am just one mixed-ethinicy chick!
Has the US apologized to the genocide of 10's of millions of native americans up until the 1970's (forced sterilizations)??? -

It is absolutely horrific, but this is what happens when a fundamentalist religion (and yes, I do not mean all Islam is fundamentalist or all fundamentalists are Islamic) rules a country and makes laws. This is going on in Saudi Arabia too and trust me, there is a growing underground feminist movement (so do not give me that "its their culture" crap because these women obviously want change!) to change things. Horrible abuse goes on to women and young girls and its not only ignored...its seen as normal. They are not second-class, they are treated lower than animals. In Saudi Arabia (last time I knew), women at their death were thrown into unmarked graves, not even honored in their death....how terrible to live through that and not even get anything in the end.
But, this will change. Women are secretly fighting back, one can only push them down so far... -

Ohhh I sorta liked Carlos but now I do not, when he man-handled his wife! grr... I would not have signed the papers.
I love Bree...how do you think she will react when it really sinks in that her son is gay? I actually think she will take the high road and be a good mother and accept him, and if she does, I think that his behavior towards her will improve.
Susan bugs me, she should go back to Mike. Her mom is naurotic like her, and she had no right to try and get her mom back with the boyfriend when Susan is unforgiving of Mike herself. :(
Edie is really growing on me too, she is a fire cracker.
This is my faaavorite show, sort of a guilty pleasure for me, but I find it to be a very smart and entertaining show! -

SECRETLY pack that iPod!!! Try to sit with a fellow teenager on the bus not near your parents...thats what I did. Bring paper to doodle naughty pictures...draw silly pictures of other JWs on the bus..that can be fun. When others are singing kingdom songs, sing your own songs (what do you listen to? Emo? Punk?). So you cant wear your boots or camo hat...do you have other "questionable" clothing you could pack away? Wear all black or something depressing looking. Ask if you can check out the dumpster to collect bethelites bad music CDs they were forced to throw out ;) -

Cell phones.....

i got the impression she thought they were "evil" or something.
are jws taught that cell phones, pagers, etc.

I had a cell phone in high school...only one other girl had one and it was a BRICK from the 80s or something. Kids thought I was rich...haha...nope.
