Still no U turn on vax mandates for all schools
by ExBethelitenowPIMA inyou still have to be fully vaccinated to attend any theocratic schools.
elders and ministerial servants have their kingdom ministry school every year, the cobe of every congregation has to check that everyone is fully vaccinated.
after the school everyone will ask any bothers who were not there why not?

The vaccine issue is the largest reason for PIMIs waking up. Before this they always had no doubt about following direction even if they didn’t agree but now they have doubts that the vaccine was as safe and effective as the GB direction said it was.
Be interesting to see next Kingdom ministry school if the coordinator still has to ask everyone individually to confirm if they are fully vaccinated like happened last year.
Apparently there were many brothers who were not allowed to go because they were not fully vaccinated

Covid Vx likened to Jesus ransom
by KerryKing inthis morning i decided to log into the local cong meeting on zoom, during the public talk the speaker likened the covid vx to jesus ransom sacrifice, saying that those who didn't avail of the vx, the 'anti vaxxers', are just like people who refuse to put faith in jesus.. i felt sick, knowing my unvxed but active jw parents were sitting there, i logged off immediately.
surely such talk is pure blasphemy or am i just over reacting?!.
i appreciate your thoughts, it will hopefully help me to approach my jw family with facts and logic, i'm praying they wake up fully and 'get out of her', i know they have reservations that's why they refused the vx..

That talk is not unusual we have had several similar and I remember at the hight of the pandemic talk was Jehovah made the vaccines available how wonderful he is, these vaccines are from Jehovah
the GB updates really aggressively pushed them having experiences of sister with cleaning jobs and only fully vaccinated could keep their jobs and all the sisters thanked the GB for letting them know the vaccine is safe and effective
another experience showed some brothers in South America who were worried that the vaccines were not safe but the GB updates put their mind at rest that these vaccines were from Jehovah and they are safe and effective.
now JWs are still going to get their boosters to remain fully vaccinated every six months or so and another sister in our cong has damaged her health by following the direction even though she didn’t want to keep getting these boosters
until they do a U turn on the direction everyone has to keep getting their latest booster shots because once you have gone longer than six months you are no longer fully vaccinated

I remember a lot of talk about donating to Jar Jireh homes. We had a special day at the KHall and lots of Donations
then we had a jumble sale where everyone donated things to raise money for the ‘old faithful ones’
I remember some saying you know it’s not a donation to the society it’s just company making a profit
well exactly the same thing then

they started it for free got everybody using it then started charging
it used to be called jw schedule
now they changed the name to new world schedule

Should I or should I not be that worried if someone took me to court for defamation? Even if I did indeed accuse someone falsely of visiting sex workers how on earth could they prove that they didn’t? Especially if they have admitted to it on a record

I see the JW schedule ap is getting slowly updated for January 2024.
Most congregations use this ap now, and everyone in the congregation has the ap. they can see who has which assignments and will get reminders etc in calendar.
The people who made the ap are making a lot of money from as each congregation pays for out out of donations.
The developers really have to earn their millions now that the gov body have changed the midweek meeting format 🤣
they only just got all the bugs sorted on the old way.
it’s designed to look back over the last years and see who hadn’t given each item in the longest time and make the schedule the most fair. But now it’s back to square one with the new meeting format

they don’t need to go on door to door anymore and there is no requirement for anything really.. taking meeting parts is all dead easy you could turn up on the day with zero preparation because it’s all in the meeting workbook.. quarterly elders meetings are just old men having a good old natter just like old men do down the pub.. congregations could be likened to pubs or bars these days just without the drinks, those come at other times.. no need for territory maps, these almost went away with covid letter writing now they are extremely slow getting finished as those who still go door to door only do ten mins.. you could even voice your questions these days about things the gb say and then just say “we can’t be dogmatic we just don’t know”.
i predict they will say this about 1914 soon..

Is there any downside to the JWLITE wager? It’s a good way of life and if there is a downside then avoid that, just take the benefits.
It’s a great community of people. Very interesting following the Bible with an open mind.
Ignore the GB direction on everything never shun anyone and keep your head down. Some on Reddit are saying this new JWLITE wager means you never ever talk to elders if they ever want to take you to the back room.
well I am an elder and I’m choosing the JWLITE wager. I can talk about the Bibles promises completely leaving the GB out of it. I can encourage everyone even those who have left the organisation.

Yes hope and faith are different in the way that hope is binary either ones or zeros. You either have hope or you don’t. Atheists don’t have hope in the Bibles promises of something better but agnostics and theists do.
Faith on the other hand could be measured on a scale of 1-100. Atheists have zero faith in the Bible so no hope. Theists can be up near 100 while agnostics maybe down near to zero the size Jesus mustard grain but they both have hope.Pascal’s wager is basically saying it’s better to have faith the size of a mustard grain and therefore hope than to have none.If you visit someone on the dying bed or someone who has just lost loved ones, you can hold their hand and tell them about the Biblical promises like in this Rev21:3,4, and even if you are nearer to zero on the scale it’s still a hope.Even if it is placebo it’s still a help. The thing about placebo is that believing it helps is actually helping. So to say it actually does no good whatsoever is not accurate as it does do some good as long as you have hope. -
