even elders can be part of the new jw lite brigade these days.

they don’t need to go on door to door anymore and there is no requirement for anything really.. taking meeting parts is all dead easy you could turn up on the day with zero preparation because it’s all in the meeting workbook.. quarterly elders meetings are just old men having a good old natter just like old men do down the pub.. congregations could be likened to pubs or bars these days just without the drinks, those come at other times.. no need for territory maps, these almost went away with covid letter writing now they are extremely slow getting finished as those who still go door to door only do ten mins.. you could even voice your questions these days about things the gb say and then just say “we can’t be dogmatic we just don’t know”.

i predict they will say this about 1914 soon..

So in this new jw lite era we are now in, would it be possible to go from a baptised believer to a an inactive publisher who is not know as a witness? An official soft fade?

It used to be that once baptised you either left by disassociation or disfellowshiping. Or hard fade where you manage to avoid elders for a couple of years until you are no longer known in the community as a JW then you succeeded to hard fade. No shunning with hard fade you just left and even if you live with someone unmarried or something similar witnesses can still talk to you.

So with all the new light and changes recently, could someone try a soft fade where they stop in person meetings and only attend on zoom seldomly. Become inactive and always ignore elders attempting to get in contact.

After enough time the end goal would be people are not sure if they are still a witness or not. You would have to be very very careful not answer any sneaky questions trying to dig for info.

The success at the end should be the option to have associations with witnesses families and friends. Be a part of it all without giving away your true feelings.

I actually know of some who have done this for years now. They did get baptised when they were young but soft faded later, they had family who were PIMI so still kept friends with many in the congregation. Now they are no longer known as witnessed so they won’t ever have judicial proceedings but can still pretend to show interest in coming back which makes everyone love bomb you and you get invited to all the social gatherings

if a pimi sister has been told by her unbelieving husband not to take these experimental vaccines then what is official jw policy in this situation?.

should she go against her husband and tell him i will do what the men at my church tell me?.

I guess it depends on what your definition of a troll is? Go ahead ask me some questions and then make up your own mind if I’m a troll or not by your definition?

I don’t really care either way, some people have some funny definitions of what a troll actually is and it’s none of my business.

Now getting back to this situation of the fully vaccinated sister who chose to end her marriage by following the direction of the GB. I am familiar with a case of exactly this happening a sister who has an unbelieving husband who would not let her take the vaccines. He actually said you are forbidden from taking these vaccines and she talked to the elders who told her to obey your husband unless it goes against Gods direction.

She thought she had to obey God rather than men and kept taking the vaccines to remain fully vaccinated and this ended the marriage.

It was a choice she had to make, she chose to take the vaccine knowing it would end the marriage. She is now alone in a tiny bed sit been kicked out of her husband’s house and he has a younger unvaccinated woman living there.

Apparently she blames the GB for ending her marriage. Of course the talk in the circuit is that her husband is a conspiracy theorist saying the shots are not safe, we know they are safe because Jehovah wouldn’t tell the GB to get everyone fully vaccinated if they were not safe.

this morning i decided to log into the local cong meeting on zoom, during the public talk the speaker likened the covid vx to jesus ransom sacrifice, saying that those who didn't avail of the vx, the 'anti vaxxers', are just like people who refuse to put faith in jesus.. i felt sick, knowing my unvxed but active jw parents were sitting there, i logged off immediately.

surely such talk is pure blasphemy or am i just over reacting?!.

i appreciate your thoughts, it will hopefully help me to approach my jw family with facts and logic, i'm praying they wake up fully and 'get out of her', i know they have reservations that's why they refused the vx..

No distortion of facts necessary pete.

They said follow the direction from Jehovah’s channel the faithful and discreet slave, and they say stay fully vaccinated. They even ask coordinators to check that all elders are fully vaccinated upto date with all boosters.

The truth is now clear the fully unvaccinated have better immune systems and have much less symptoms from covid. The more vaccines you have the more you damaged your health

And to think they still haven’t done a U turn on vaccine mandates for all the schools!

They absolutely have to give an update on the direction soon, otherwise the rank and file will keep following the old direction to stay fully vaccinated every six months

Terry I’m trying to read the text you posted about vaccination but I can’t read it on my phone, is there any chance you could cut and paste that please?

Also does anyone have the newer quotes about vaccination from the 60s?

I remember during the pandemic they had an article mid quoting a 1960s watchtower, they took some words out of context trying to say they were pro vaccine back then, but if you read the context it was not

I think you are right Terry. They have had legal advice after the train wreck Royal commission where Br Jackson was asked do the GB claim to be gods channel on Earth. Since then they had to come out with new light saying the GB are not inspired.

But they still want everyone to follow their direction like it’s from jeh

Who will be killed at Armageddon?

if the current doctrine is that only baptised witnesses are going to survive and everyone else burns them what about this new update new light that some from before the flood and sodomites will be resurrected?.

but didn’t he mention at the agm something about there is no point jehovah killing them and then resurrecting them again?

it seems they are confused about what they teach and that’s why brother jackson joked about “is this what we used to believe or what we believe now?”.

Now, they are saying pretty much everyone will make it through and then during the 1000 year reign everyone can decide if they want to live in paradise

This changes everything. All those unbelieving spouses that the baptised spouse thought would die at Armageddon, now we are told they won’t die after all.

This sounds hilarious but it’s true, a lot of sisters with unbelieving husbands thought they just had to endure him a little longer and then they would get a new husband in the new world and now they have been told they will have their current one make it through. 😭

I don’t think the GB really thought this through. They are so confusing and inconsistent

But there is the problem no zombie, they do say they are Jehovahs channel on earth. They do say you need to be baptised and just hope that maybe unbaptised children of baptised parents will make it. This is what the GB say.

this was a control mechanism just like hellfire doctrine other religions use.

if now they are saying “we can’t be dogmatic and we just don’t know, we are not inspired or infallible”

they lose that control mechanism!
