we all know that we do not know the correct pronunciation of the name of god.
over 6000 times, the tetragrammaton is mentioned in the ot.
yet for some reason, most bibles do not use the name jehovah or yahweh but a few times.

In my usual argumentative style when I was a teenager, I retorted with "to me it's only a disrespectful child who calls his father by his first name". She was speechless.
I agree that calling God by His first Name Only is very disrespectful, (in the org. they did it all the time - and it made me very sad! - but calling God's name with His title (GOD) is appropriate and acceptable to God.

Perceptionally speaking, I thought you had "created" a God in your own imagination ! I have three children. There is an innate and stable love for them that dwells within my heart. This love is not dependent on anything they say or do. It is not an earned love that came second; it was here first. It is a love that is not even affected by me. No matter how angry or upset I may be with them, if I just stop and look within, the love is there, untouched and untainted. They are loved no matter. As Christians, we are to love our children unconditionally. However, as Christian parents, we also have God's authority to conform to: Instilling /instructing our children to be Godly and Holy: It is a Christian obligation that we all have to comply to - If our children were to become unresponsive to God's Word and become ignorant of applying such Christian priciples, God wouldn't consider them unclean - in God's Eyes, they are still holy! 1 Corinthians 7:14:" For the unbelieving husband is sanctified in relation to his [wife] , and the unbelieving wife is sanctified in relation to the brother; otherwise YOUR children would be really unclean, but now they are holy." Dear James Thomas: After all is said and done AAF, are you saying, in effect, that your God could kill the majority of all men, women and children on earth, and you would continue unfailingly in your love and admiration of Him and His "righteousness"? You would continue to rejoice at the mention of His name? You would sleep well at night? Thomas, God does not take it lightly nor any of His children do when God finds it necessary to execute judgement upon those meriting destruction in order to uphold His Name and His standards for rightheousness. 2 Peter 3:9:" Jehovah is not slow respecting his promise as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with YOU because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain repentance." Do you equate perfect love and righteousness with your Gods actions? Yes. Godly perfect - love is guided by the principle of righteousness! I remind myself all the time that Jesus Christ died for all of us ; I highly esteem God's Sovereignty and, I do NOT want to be independent or ignorant of His laws! Thank you so much for these loving words, Thomas - I really appreciate your kindness. You also made an observation as to Christians not applying unconditional love to Un-Christians - The Watchtower Society does NOT apply this principle, and yet the Bible admonishing us to do so. The Scriptures admonishes us to love our neighbors as ourselves - Jesus Christ admonishes Christians to continue to love their enemies. I believe very strongly that we, as Christians are to love everyone, incluiding our enemies! The Bible teaches us to do so! The Scripture in 1 Corinthians 9:19 where the apostle Paul admonishes Christians to imitate the ones not disposed to hearing the Word: " that I might by all means save some" Here is the Scripture - I love it! 1 Corinthians 9:21:" To those without law I became as without law, although I am not without law toward God but under law toward Christ, that I might gain those without law." As far as for some people not being receptive to God's Word, Christians still need to love their neighbor,irregardless!. We please Our Creator, if we do so- It is for God only to render proper judgement to the one who left Him as well for those who are not disposed to His life-saving message We are Christians and NOT Judges. I'am well informed about the org. now, and I can no longer be part of that membership because I KNOW that the Society is UNCLEAN doctrinally! I consider the Society as being the EVIL SLAVE CLASS!
I have been richly blessed since I left the Organization: Everything written in the Bible is so much clear! - without the Watchtower's New truths/Old truths - awfully confusing and unscriptural interpretations!
Iam so thankfull God released me from that spiritual concentration camp!
Please note that God will forgive our sins, if we love Him -He created us - he is Our Heavenly Father.
