ARE BETHELITES FREE LABOR?

bethelites are not free labor as we think.

he does pay his way.

most are unskilled when they first go to bethel.

Not too mention when they leave they have NO money, NO property, NO assests of any kind. Nor do they have any real 'job' experience, and of course no education. So they're screwed compared to someone who begins working at 20, or someone who goes thru college. Imagine leave the big house at age 40 or 50 in the above situation ... a surefire guaranteed way to permanent janitorial work till you die.

Personally you can't get janitorial wortk at 40 or 50 unless you know somebody.

I am a licensed general contractor been in the trades for over 30 years wasted those years in the borg. now I'm trying to make up time and having a hard time because at 56 no body wants you because you are old and your network is gone.

I not giving up though...i'll make ends meet and I will succeed before I die.

all I have to say to JWs get a good job agood trade put the family first then the org. network.

What did you do to free your mind from WBTS??

i ask you this because i saw a lot of hypocrisy in the org but i still have sometime this old fear of armageddon with a feeling a culpability.

should i do some research on my own about all the lies of the wbts?

what did you do to find a goal in your life?

once I realized that all the prophecies were wrong and if they were really God's prophets and God was using them everything they said would come true...., but nothing they ever said came true.at that moment I walked away an never had doubts about my choice of leaving...of course I lost a daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren...but thses loses I hope will turn around in the future because maybe their eyes will be opened as they grow older and realize their entire life was wasted on a pipe dream. It is a funny thing age and education tends to open one's eye.

What's so special about Thanksgiving?

so whats so special about thanksgiving?

to me this is a relatively new holiday custom mainly for not being american more than being a jw.

the problem i gather with witnesses and celebrating thanksgiving is that it is a national holiday and as a result is a patriotic holiday with a tradition steeped in american history.

Nothing really, it is like all other holidays... and everthing else in life...you get out of it what you put in it.

I look at all holidays now as a time to enjoy and help others if I have the means.

This is the difference between humans and Jehovah Witnesses...

I say this because of what my JW daughter told my non-Jw daughter, "I didn't come to visit you because I was afraid you might want something out of me."

Mind you, this is the same daughter that sucked her mom and dad dry when her family was going through a transition due to her husband had an elder attitude and was unable to hold a job.

I had to go bankrupt after my wife passed away...guess what they are doing fine now but they never have offered to repay me...why, because I am DAed & Dfed not alive... you know the dead are in need of nothing.

celtic , i am a self taught artist . i use acrylics because i can use wet on wet technique. i love landscapes and seascapes.

the book deals with my life and family intertwined in raising a family as jws the waisted years and broken heart of losing a wife due to a rare blood disease a son to leaukemia a mother in law who turned her back and accused me of killing her daughter because i gave her blood.leaving the org. and losing family from bopth in-laws as well as out-laws. hahaha.

it is a typical jw drama told from a honest first person narritive.

Signs Of Imminent Departure?

back in the 70's, when i was df'd for associating with other df'd people, a lot of us recently df'd ones met up for a mini apostofest at sandy balls in the new forest.. we had a great time, lots of barbies, lots of wine, lots of folk songs by bob dylan,tom paxton and harvey andrews.

we could all strum a few chords too.

her ladyship could bring me to tears with her rendition of cat steven's father and son.. there were also some other common factors besides the folk singing and wine drinking.

i grew a beard and long hair while stopping making comments at the meetings and snickering alot.this all after being removed as an elder.

i would without question let mankind know who i am.. i would bless all those who worship me and give them their every needs.. i would also remove the curse of death and go ahead and remove the devil.

really why should i have to kill billions just to prove i am god.. live let live and remove all the written laws.

place the law of love as the only law.. there would be no sin because i made rlues to be broke therefore i would remove these rules.. it wasn't until i told adam ,son this is my apple don't eat it.. i on the other hand would have said, adam this is my apple tree i love you eat and show eve my tree and let all things be shared between you and me.. it is hard for me to beleive a god would place restrictions on his creations then kill them for for such a phoney reason.
