Attending meetings and performing your theocratic duties and acting as if nothing is wrong while all the time knowing it is all a fabicated lie. I went into a vacumm, did not talk to anybody, end of prayer, gone! Went late left early, no comments, no singing, no prayer. The night I was announced as "stepping down," yark! yark! yark! I was invited to close in prayer. I said, It would be better to have another close. Never was asked again. THen I began my slip sliding away.

I heard a bro. say if the society told me to march toward that wall right there and don't stop, I would because I know Jehovah would either move the wall, make an opening or cause me to able to defy gravity and wall straight up that wall, the ceiling and end up right on the floor where I started.

Clearlake's Walker retains cage fighting title By staff reports LAKEPORT -- When you step into the Gladiator Challenge ring, all the talkin' is over. Just ask T.C. Collins. In his first super-heavyweight title defense, Wes Walker of Clearlake put Collins down early to retain his undisputed title during the "Deep Impact" round of cage fights on Saturday at Konocti Vista Resort in Lakeport. "That guy (Collins) had been talking so much trash online," said Walker's trainer, Larry Cummins of Cummins Martial Arts in Clearlake. "Wes didn't say a word, but he went from teddy bear to grizzly bear in a second once the match started." Walker's first punch of the match left Collins dazed, according to Cummins, and the fight was stopped on a TKO less than a minute into the first round. "He pummeled him pretty good," Cummins said of Walker, who improved to 4-0 in cage fighting. "I don't think Wes got punched once." Walker's pre-fight prep-aration, including workouts with boxing coach Dave Cavagna and wrestling coach Justin Gaddy, helped prepare him for Collins, according to Cummins. "That boy was a force to be reckoned with," Cummins added of Walker, who will likely make his next title defense sometime in October when cage fighting returns to Lakeport.

Hi fat, Thanks for the invite, but I live in South Dakota My grand daughters live in Perryville. They no longer want to be JWs and both are dating out of the Org. They are not allowed to talk to me or my sons. We all lived in a small town in Northern California for 35 years until my wife died and I DAed myself and my sons went along with me. I have a daughter in Cal. who talks to them on a sly, that is why I know anything. I just wanted to find an ex that lived close tp PV so they may be able to be a voice of rreason to my GDs. THe beans and cornbread sounds good the wine is my favorite.I sure could go for a big cup of of "pot licker" If you ever get close to Menno, SD give me a call Dan Walker Thanks Dan

Saturday morning books study & Field Service combined
by JH ini noticed recently that the book study i used to attend, used to be on a tuesdays or thursdays, but now it's on a saturday morning.. i notice that there are quite a few book studies on saturdays now.
i think that 2 out of the 4 books studies in my congregation are on saturdays.
is this a new way to get people to go out in the field service on saturdays?

In the 70's we tried the Saturday book study and field service. It pooped out the same as Friday night TMS, THose, meeting just killed any wk end. Even the strong publishers hated the arrangements, not to mention any person with unbelievers.
