America: East or West coast for travelling?

so let's just say i decided to visit america -oooh.

it is a massive country and so so so many wonders to see from one end to the other and inbetween.. if i were to travel - which coast would you suggest i begin my first journey.

or should i start in the middle and work my way out to an edge.

If you are interested in the Civil War then the Eastern cities and battle grounds. THe cemetaries are great to visit and you can stil smell the blood on some of the battle grounds. South Dakota, MIssiouri, Oklahoma, Wyoming, Montanna is great if you are interested in the old cowboy history. Ca., Az.,new Mexico has old ghost towns that are converted to movie sets. In the hills of Nevada, there are old gold mine towns. Then you have the modern day Ca. and Nevada.

They go beyond Diane Wilson's memoir, "AWAKENING OF A JEHOVAH'S WITNESS: Escape from the Watchtower Society" still in print, Ray Franz's "CRISIS OF CONSCIENCE" which is in its fifth edition after twenty 20 years, and Kyria Abrahams newest Watchtower expose I’M PERFECT, YOU’RE DOOMED: Tales of a Jehovah's Witness Upbringing.

"THE DREAM PUSHERS: Captivated by a System of Deceit" begins in a small Mississippi town in 1955 where Rags Walker is indoctrinated into a social-religious mind set at the age of ten. It explores a love story between a young couple who become staunch believers, and mesmerized by a matrix of dreams and promises to a point they offer their son as a sacrifice to the God of the Old Testament--Jehovah. Their strict home-life drives their youngest daughter into a libertine lifestyle. After Rags resigned his minister's position, he discovers a contradiction between "the Society's" core belief and a history book's quote from the "Babylonian Cuneiform Tablets." If the scholarly work is accurate--then the entire dream is false. Rags scrambles to re-enforce the regime's doctrine and his sanity, but with the click of the mouse, the promise disappears, through the words of "Josephus' The Antiquities of the Jews." His dream world explodes into a hellish nightmare--an Orwellian "Animal Farm," and to top it off, his wife is diagnosed with a rare blood disorder. His stratagem to save her fails--she dies--leaving him with his final choice. Should he remain a slave in the matrix of dreams, or break free and expose it for what it is--a billion dollar corporation hidden behind a system of mind manipulation, ever-changing doctrines, "end of time" prophecies, and deceit.

Today is my Husband's Birthday

he's in bed right now, in pain because he sat all day at his computer trying to pull together a business deal.

couldn't get any sleep last night because of the pain.

when i woke up this morning to get the kids off to school my hubby was in bed wimpering because of the pain.. my daughter made a card for her father, coming from my daughter means so much to my hubby cuz it's from his only girl who's finally treating him like a daddy (she's pushed him away since she was a baby and with hubby's sickness they've been spending more time together).

I joined Weight Watchers today!

i am a bit of a yo yo dieter - i have been dieting ever since i was a teenager, and my role model for this was my mom of course.

in fact one of my very early memories of going shopping with mom and her buying a diet shake mix.

well... i have a little girl who is almost three and i have been thinking about things and i really need to break this cycle of crash diets, losing 5 kgs and picking up 10 once i have lost motivation.

I lost 30 lbs and have kept it off for five years by eating a concoction of:

1 box of old fashion Oatmeal

bag of Tropical trail mix from Walmart

a jar of wheat germ

a package of ground flax seed.

Eat 8 oz. per day with a cup of cold milk.

It also makes a great pancake mix topped with smart balance margarine and maple ...

a half cup of of unsweetened bakers chocolate all mixed in a 1 gal container.

I make two batches one as cold cerearl and one for pancakes where I Mix the chocolate into the mixture and add an egg and flour.

If I would quit drinking beer, I think I could loose another 15 0r 20 lbs. But sitting on you butt all winter in South Dakota is difficult to maintain wieght loose.

if i were a practicing jehovah's witness, i'd seriously take the governing body's words to heart immediately.

since they don't want to add any further burdens on us, i would not "wait on jehovah (them)" but instead i'd follow the spirit of their timely words and cut out one more meeting night and save gas money!
