ianao,
I understand that, but the links were to photos from 2001 and part of the face is clearly photographed. Can there be any question even from the January photograph that is available now that the face is just a natural mountain?
Hopefully the pictures from 4/01 will satisfy you, but if nothing has so far, I sincerely doubt it.

ianao,
Looks like the link I posted above is the latest they have on the site of the area in question right now. It does look like the web master started advertizing the latest pictures from 4/01, but did not yet provide links. It's a bit sloppy, but with all of the pictures of the area in question that have been freely released to the public, I don't see how there could be any conspiracy here.
I'm sure the updated pictures will be linked soon. I don't see any reason why they would not do this.

Maybe this is what you are looking for?

It took a little browsing around to find, but then again, I'm not one to jump to conclusions about conspiracies.

Hey Seeker,
I got a 10/11 too. Missed the same darn question about the Ark. That one gets me every time. Never again! :)

another book i am reading called "the jesus mysteries" makes this claim:.
"according to matthew, jesus is born in the reign of herod, who tries to have him killed as a baby to prevent him becoming king of the jews.
herod who died in 4bce.........luke makes a similar point of having his jesus born 10 years later at the time of the census of 6ce.".
Scorpion,
You are being ridiculous - of course you were defending the Bible. Maybe you were playing devil's advocate, but how am I supposed to know? And even so, you used a really crappy site to defend the Bible. If you don't know what is wrong with the carbon-14 information, then you should look it up on talk.origins. There have been many threads on this board recently about carbon-14 dating as well.
In short, carbon-14 dating is extremely reliable since it has been calibrated by other independend dating methods. Using references from the 1960's to try to cast doubt about the dating method is just plain dishonest.

has anyone on this board ever experienced contact with demons?.
i have heard demons talked about for years, however i have never known anyone that has had any real experiences with them, i have only heard storys.. .
(some quotes).
Slayer,
Sorry if I gave the wrong impression – and I’m probably taking this too seriously since you were probably joking, but… I did not say "prozac" explanation. I said "prosaic". Prosaic means simple, dull, ordinary, not fanciful or extraordinary. It's a bit like Occams Razor. Choose the explanation with the least amount of assumptions. I'm not sure if you've actually done a lot of research in this area, but many of us have. I personally have. I used to be a believer in the paranormal (What JW wasn’t?) until I read some books on the subject that opened my eyes. Science really does know a lot more than you might think about such things.
I think one of the reasons I responded to this thread (and I’m sure most of the others too) was not to belittle you, but to help you overcome any fear you may have of the spirit world. To me it is sad that many people actually live in fear of such things. Of course the experiences people have are real, but that doesn’t mean that benevolent or evil spirits (or UFO’s) caused the experience. There are many other simpler explanations which can be researched in many fine rational science publications.
We all experience weird things. But it is comforting to know that there isn't any evil energy or spirit world playing parlor tricks trying to scare people. And if these ghosts or whatever really were doing these things to scare people – how lame is that? What loser ghosts! I just find those explanations silly in the light of scientific reasoning.
Here are some books that I’ve really enjoyed. They are not only great at explaining many “unexplained” things, but they also teach you how to hone your BS detector so you can more easily tell when someone is telling you a doosie of a tall tale, or is trying to sell you some worthless cure-all, or tells you they can see the future, or talk to your dead relatives, etc…
Why People Believe Weird Things, Shermer
Demon Haunted World, Sagan
Voodoo Science, Park
How We Believe, Shermer
Broca’s Brain, Sagan
Some books by James Randi
I hope you enjoy these books as much as I have!

I guess any contradiction can be explained away with unbridled speculation. As far as Luke's accuracy, I assert that he made at least one mistake for every miracle that he reported.

Scorpion,
That site has to be one of the most intellectually dishonest site's I've seen in a long time. After looking at the Contradictions page (which I thought was just one big strawman), I browsed over to the Carbon-14 Dating page and the Evolution page. Disgusting! It was so full of innacuracies and misconceptions I thought my head was going to explode. Be sure to check all of the "references" from the 1960's. Laughable!
This is definitely not the type of site I would want defending my religion. But then again, I don't know of any other way to defend the Christian religion without resorting to dishonest tactics.
