i played a role in a convention drama when i was 14. it was a really poxy modern day drama.

In hind sight, it would of been a good opportunitity to really tell the truth. :)
The best advice I can give to is quietly dissappear. In the big picture they dont matter. Do not waste your time arguing or trying to convince any of the borg. You are simply wasting your time.

There is no way they can win. O yes, they will pick their battles, but will never win the war. I cannot express in words the contempt I feel towards them, the hypocrisy of them, the scandulous cover ups, etc.

and what an eye opener it was...dont get me wrong i faded some 10 years ago and the reasons for such were contained in the book, i.e 1914, failed prophecies and so forth.. the expose is disarming by its objective style and whilst i now read any literature through sceptical eyes i could see a person genuinely grieved by what had taken place and the crisis he was subjected to conscientiously; it said it all to me when he said that his aim was not to divert people from the jws but give them support so they could develop as christians and therefore allow them to come to their own conclusions (or words to that effect).. extremely well written and consise with reams of references (which i happen to love).. anyone that is recently out must read this book...it objective, honest and was totally surprising in parts.. db74

What else is new. We just had the so called special talk. the talk was suppose to be according to the outling, 5min, 5 min, 15 min, 15 min, 5 min.
Our speaker mr verbal diriaa,,, was 25 min, 6 min, 6 min,,, so dis jointed, so not making sense..............

i think for many that went, it demystified the whole organization and you saw firsthand that there wasn't holy spirit influencing anything - only the muses of sheltered, out-of-touch old men and political bureaucrats.
i work in the corporate world and i saw just as much if not more politics in bethel.
Just curious Jez....you mention you were at Georgetown bethel? thats the Canada one right? The Canada Bethel does not have any resident Governing Body members............. you probably met one of the ones on the Canada Bethel Branch Comittee. All GB's are in the USA......
