  Do you think any of the GB have different beliefs?

  do you think any higher ups know that much of the doctrine they teach is bunk?

  thinking back to the time of raymond franz, how he pointed out specifically numerous teachings that the churches really did have right all along, and really any of the hidden mic apostacy trials you listen to on youtube, you see that even when inconvenient bible teachings are proven, the elders just try to sweep it under the rug and move on.

  i think i remember franz saying how one of the gb approached him somewhat sympathetically, but there was nothing he could do.. whether you believe in the bible or not, there are some basic beliefs common among most denominations because they're just so plainly stated, such things as heavenly life for all christians, no central authority structure, minimal use of god's name, etc.

  I wonder how many are pedophiles, they are so lawyered up it would take abusing a billionaires child to even begin to make a case against them that stuck. I'm not saying they are but it would not surprise me. I think I might be surprised if they were not. Herd is the token subservient black guy.

  Thanks Terry. That was really informative and beyond messed up.

  So I might could possibly give Russell a very small benefit of the doubt. But probably not. He seems very misguided, greedy and power hungry.

  Rutherford on the other hand, seems beyond greedy, beyond ego, NOT misguided but aimed to misguide intentionally. Power hungry seems lite to me in his case. I see him now as a complete sociopath/psychopath, with a fragile ego covered up by his lies. If those old walls could talk. He sounds like he could have easily been a serial killer and just about had everyone scared out of their mind. I imagine he was a very paranoid man. Of being exposed for what he was, and I imagine anyone that he even thought was questioning him he offed one way or another and destroyed their reputation. And this is what I thought was truth. That is so disgusting.

  Maybe a stupid question, but was Rutherford just a man that really was searching for meaning within the bible and thought he found it? Or was he just as manipulative as Knorr and his lot. Or does it just boil down to a long line of WT elites that kept a publishing company going off the backs of members knowing full well what they are doing?

  yes, but when i was browsing the internet on google a website popups claiming you can get an answer to useless bible questions please can check and give you fuck reviews here yes science has fact then the common book called bible!!

  LuvUni- I think learning the bible is good in the same way learning Shakespeare is good.

  EverApostate-Even after becoming an Atheist, I read the Bible to amuse myself.

  Funny I've read more of it out, than I ever did in. It's rather hysterical , Son of , son of, son of, son of, The song of Solomon could be the new '50 Shades Of Grey'. Sodom and Gomorrah could turn into a comical play of "My Gay Ass is on Fire".

  Needed a laugh this afternoon.

  Covid-19 (Coronavirus) - Status Update Thread

  this topic is to focus on status updates & advice (no opinion or politics please).. status.

  latest status is that it's serious, probably isn't going to be contained and most large companies are making contingency plans, cancelling large events etc... which i don't think would happen if it was just people being alarmist.

  the incubation period means it may have already spread further and infected many more people than are currently known, so expect jumps in the numbers over the coming days and weeks.. tracking.

  I just got back from venturing out to get a few things at the stores. All were out of sanitizing wipes, and sanitizing hand gel. 5 Stores.

  I was talking to the cashier and she said she got online yesterday and Purell was 100.00 USD for two 12 oz bottles. I just looked it up. She was right, though I didn't doubt her. I saw the dollar store brand for a 49.00 USD. It was a dollar just three days ago. I see that some states are taking action. This is the first one that popped up -

  The other sad part is many elderly cant get out to go get some. Everyone of the store clerks I spoke with said it was people in their 30-40s mostly buying mass quantity. The ones not at the most risk of death.

  Then I'll be damned if I didn't drive by packed houses at every single tavern and pub on the way home. That makes no sense at all to me. Or the lady in line that said, 'Its just like the flu, whats the big deal?' I said "And yes the flu kills anywhere from 200,000 -800,000 a year and it has a vaccine. This one doesn't.'. She said " Well that's just your opinion." And that's how this crap spreads. Dumb ass people.

  Anyway I hope many more places jump on the band wagon to stop third party price gougers through fines and jail time.

  ', or similar).. but, i'd just like to start a thread about certain songs giving me goosebumps.

  y'know, when you hear a song that profoundly effects you in some difficult-to-describe way and the hairs on your arm stand on end even though the room temperature's comfortably warm.. so, which songs give you goosebumps?.

  I thought of this thread when I heard this new song. Return to OZ by Monolink AIR BAT. (Remember the movie "Return to OZ" where the queen has heads she tries on?

  It gave me goosebumps. Thought Rubadub might like it. Or and others. I'm an electro/trance house music junkie.

  I don't usually get goosebumps on a song much any more and when I do after I listen to it a few times it goes away. This one has been giving me goosebumps lately. Probably will go away after I listen to it a couple 100 times. I love surreal lyrics and surreal music to go along with it.

  Water. Why not just boil the water out of the tap? Also in the camping section of stores you can buy water purifying tablets to have on hand. Also save milk jugs or any beverage container and fill it with your tapwater. Worried about it just sitting there, reboil if it comes to that.

  Heck, buying Gatorade is just about the same as buying water in price. Reuse the bottles. At worst you'll have Gatorade for the hot summer months.

  Why not buy alcohol and mix 60% alcohol with 40% water? That would cost hardly anything. (in addition to hand sanitizer and soap)

  Food. There are so many cheap foods that one could just add water to. Buy bulk multi vitamins to make up for the lack of vitamins in the cheap dried foods.

  I'm also sooo not above telling someone to cover their mouth when they cough.I don't care if it pisses them off. I'm also the kind of weirdo that if someone coughs on an isle (many times they don't even have to cough) I will just about pass out from holding my breath as I pass them to get down the isle and breath.

  Toilet paper. (obviously buy some) Save your news papers. That stack of old tshirts you were going get rid of, cut them up. At worst they can be shop rags later. Paper towel rolls can be cut in half, literally.

  Heres a vid on how to make a DIY mask, There are many more vids on how. I like that they added a plastic shield to cover your eyes.

  At this point I'm not ashamed to carry Lysol and spray it when I'm in an Isle at the store. In fact I'm seeing people do it here already.
