  hello all, i'm 'researching', a jw who is in the first steps of taking a look at their beliefs.. i've semi-recently (about a couple weeks ago) heard about the sexual abuse cases (pennsylvania attorney general’s investigation request) and then the arc in 2015. this lead to a deep investigation, which lead to many questions arising.

  a jw friend of mine suggested i be careful (due to apostates) and ask the brothers.

  so i typed up my questions + concerns and emailed an elder my mother has known for a long time.

  Don't what country your in , that's probably kept to yourself but in the UK you could try calling the Samaritans they will listen and be able to access the help you need,

  Research if this is affecting your mental health you need to make a appointment to see your doctor and explain the issues with your mother etc they will be able to refer you to get professional help

  a picture so embarrassing, even wtbts inc does not want to describe it?

  this week's study, no 52, march 1 2020 wt dec 1919. picture description (on page 27) for pages 23 and 26 but not for the one on page 24, too embarrassing?

  picture it, page 24. the wt lady, with a head volume ~8 times that of the gentlemen sitting behind her, eager to have her voice boom in the kingdom hall, raising arms with 3 other "sisters", whereas all 4 males are abstaining.

  Not that many people have smiles on their faces at the hall I attended.

  Wife's are expected to answer up so the husband can progress and she can then be in the elders wife's club then only have to answer every now and again same with the children.

  Confidentiality by the WBTS

  how the wbts has definitely broken confidentiality in their own words!!!.

  proverbs 25:9 "do not reveal what you were told confidentially".

  a body of odours letter refers to this verse and instructs them when handling congregational matters involving legal issues.if an elder were to breach this (minister-communicant privilege prevents any body of odour from revealing things said in private to him by a member), then he automatically waivers the minister-client privilege.

  A po of a former congregation I was in kept things confidential about the things his family got up to underage drinking and sex .

  Sorry John Martin was someone I went to see there .

  Think a sister from there married a bro from Cumbernauld ,she sadly died after a long fight with cancer think her mum and sister still there . sorry for being so criptic

  Confidentiality by the WBTS

  Yes as a former elder if someone confessed to wrongdoing the first thing you were instructed to do was to let the po know because he may be aware of other instances then the elders gathered at the end of a meeting and then rest of elders would be made aware that bro/sis done this or that , then when 3 elders meet with the person then the body of elders would be made aware of that also.

  Crofty did you ever go to the barn dancing arranged by bishop Briggs/kirkintilloch Cong's were more people turned up that were invited though the JW grapevine.

  Used to see bands at queen's hall Edinburgh and the pavilion Glasgow , John Martin

  Crofty were probably from the same generation or at least overlapping

  i was baptized in my early 20s so now realize was too young mentally to understand the full impact of that decision and the long term impact on my life.. the org should stop putting pressure on young ones to get baptized..
