A few reasons why I believe
The world is getting more and more wicked (evidence of the last days)
No other religion that I have seen has the fruits of truth
I can see & agree with 95% of the doctrine. The 5% I don't agree with I chalk up to imperfection
Anyway so if you belive JW is NOT the truth, then what religion do you belive is?
are we living in the prophetic last days that will climax into armageddon?
if this is true then how long should it take?
as jw saw it, wt compared timing to within a generation using 70 ad as a parallel.
Have you seen what society has degenerated to? Kids growing up today can't even tell what gender they are! They are having group sex and homosexual sex in their early teens/preteen years ( exposure to porn has normalized it).Every one is a mental case - narcissistic lovers of themselves -- the list goes on & on.
I'm df'd but even I can't make friends with worldly people-- they are filthy heathens! Addicted to all sorts of filth: themselves, drugs, sex, gaming, porn, etc etc.

i came from the world, so did not grow up in the truth and i have no family in the truth -- i am alone.. last year i met a brother & we did have premarital sex while we were dating.
I didn't know all of that. I'm from the world, never been in trouble with the elders before, no one to warn me or explained how things work. They did not tell me when the JC was formed that I could get df'd for a sin that I had abandoned and already repentant to Jehovah for. Nobody knew about it unless my ex husband was telling people because he was trying to ruin my good standing to deflect from the fact they he had been committing adultery from day 1 of our marriage..
I guess I can't wrap my head around the need to confess something that has already been resolved. I wasn't aware that repentance had to involve the elders because I had already repented on my own. If we had decided NOT to, I would have voluntarily went to the elders then because those are different circumstances.

I moved ti a new city/state after the divorce. I don't know a single person. I've been attending meetings in this new congregation ( where I know nobody( for months now. I applied for reinstatement less than a week ago. I'll see what happens (it has ti go through the old congregation). If reinstatement is approved will people still avoid & exclude/gossip about me?

During the 7 day period I was too shocked by all the events that had taken place to uproot my life - the cheating. The df, the moving. I was too busy making preparation to move and plans to leave the area & busy in my own emotional turmoil. I didn't have the strength to deal with them.

No, because I was in such shock that the d'f'me . I wasn't expecting that. Plus I have never had a talk with the elders for any trouble before this, so I didn't know how things worked.

What makes me mad ( besides the betrayal of my ex husband for cheating) is that I did fully cooperate with e(lders, was completely honest. I expressed that I regretted it and felt guilty and relented. So I am bot understanding how they can say 'm unrepentant?
All of thos came like a ton of bricks. I was facing a divorce and betrayal from a husband I thought I loved & thought loved me. I had to put in my 30 days notice at my apartment so I could move in with family in another state (plus couldn't afford to stay there on my own). So the elders knew I was heartbroken oven the cheating & knew I was leaving the area to get away from ex ( and needed my new congregation for support) & they had no compassion for me/my situation.
I lost almost everything due to the divorce- including my relationship with Jehovah. But I wasn't the one who cheated & broke up the marriage. I gave the relationship with my husband everything I had, until I caught him.

But there was no reason to come forward with it. The matter was resolved when we married.

I know. Well I am not currently a JW either as I was DF"d. I can't ask an active JW because I can't talk to anyone. I wasn't raised in the truth and have no family in. I have zero experience with this. There are likely former elders here who know the processes.
