  The Next Big Thing In WT World

  things got a bit lively after the agm leaks in october.

  there was a lot of discussion going on on this board for a few months.

  now that all the leaks have been more or less confirmed as policy, and we've had lively discussions at length concerning the changes, things seem to have slowed down here.. a few suggestions have been raised as to what might be the next changes, such as women being allowed to wear slacks (in the usa, anyway), decoupling from 1914 as an anchoring date and others.. so, what changes do you think will be announced this year?.

  JW Chrisians in name only-what do you think

  jw claim they are the true religion and they mention the love they have among themselves as proof.

  i have been watching a youtube creator who had some thoughts on the subject, bringing out jw were not really christian, based upon their actions.

  he made a pretty good case.

  You don't even know what JW's believe about Jesus - you're talking out your neck with your misinformation. They/We don't believe that Jesus could be anybody - who knows where you got your incorrect information. Then you frequent a forum about JW's which you clearly know little about. Why do you waste your time & energy on JW topics since you don't take the time to even get your facts straight? It's one thing to disagree with an actual teaching but it is wholly another matter entirely to disagree with teachings & views that are not even espoused by the group. You just come way out of left field with no basis for your nonsense & expect to be taken seriously?

  Any Chrisendom "Christians " don't know what the Bible says or teaches because they don't bother to read it, study it, or align their life with its teachings. There is no unity there they go about living a heathistic life - drugs, love of money/greed, fornication & adultery, the pay no attention to God unless they are suffering ( which they are suffering the consequences of their immoral lifestyle).

  What does Halloween have to do with Christianity? When I was a young child of about 8 years old my family went to a Halloween party ( all dressed up in our costumes) to go trick or treating at a church. After seeing the horror displays ( gore & such) displayed inside a church inside there haunted house, I was appaled. I asked my father why do we participate in such wickedness inside the house of God? Why would God be happy to see such gore ( bloody gore, death/killing)? He had no answer for me, he brushed me off. But even I as a young child with no religious training could clearly see that it was wrong. It really upset & bothered my conscience. The WT didn't have to tell me it was unholy.& wrong when I studied with them 20 years later - I already discerned this as a child.

  What does Christmas & Easter have to do with Christianity? What does the Easter bunny & eggs which clearly represents fertility not Christ, have to do with the resurrection of Christ? Christmas hasn't been about Jesus for a long time - its about commercialization, greed and pagan symbols.

  Again, it's not because the WT told me these things are not Christian - these are things I discerned on my own.

  I went to many "Christan " churches & Bible studies. They people have no love amongst themselves and they are divided in their own personal beliefs. The BIble studies don't even teach anything- they just read and them have personal opinions as commentary. There is no insutcttion, just personal interpretations. There are only elementary topics covered - very superficial. There is no substance, no meat. They have their rock concerts on stage on Sunday, read a few random Bible verses on a superficial level -- that are forgotten as soon as they are read because it doesn't change the people's hearts. They still carry on in their sins & immoral lifestyle yet belive they are saved. How is that Christian to not even try to live a Christian lifestyle?

  I've spent time going to Jewish, Catholic, Mormon, Protestant Christians, Evangelical, Baptist, Non- Denominational churches. I've gone to their churches and their Bible studies. There was no unity and there was little if any goodness in their deeds/actions/works.

  You say you have not seen any disunity of other Christian churches? I can't take that comment seriously! There is absolutely NO unity among " Christians". They don't even read or study the Bible. . Alot of their church services are just music ( like a Christian rock concert) followed by a few feel good scriptures. No substance. They do whatever they want, including serious sins, and think they are saved. They use the grace of God as an excuse to sin, they take no accountability to who they are or to the God they claim to serve.

  I was not raised a JW, and I went to many churches before studying the Bible with the Witnesses. I can assure you that those other religions are empty with no substance.

  Depression & Isolation

  i've been recently reinstated & am very happy about it.

  i do love righteous (love & justice) and i do hate wickedness ( selfishness & sin).

  i do love jehovah and the bible truths & wisdom.

  I've been recently reinstated & am very happy about it. I do love righteous (love & justice) and I do hate wickedness ( selfishness & sin). I do love Jehovah and the Bible truths & wisdom. I pray, study, attend meetings. I haven't been out in service though for ages ( because I was inactive/left the org & then df recently). I'm working on getting back in service very soon though. I just moved to a new state and new congregation & don't know anyone. I have been only going for 3 weeks so I know some people as acquaintance but no friends yet ( I have only seen them at meetings- no personal time with anyone). I'm mid 40s, divorced/single and an empty nester. I have no family in the org. Its just me & I feel very alone.

  Isolation and Depression has been eating away at me & I've been having very negative & hopless thoughts about this life/existence. I understand the paradise earth is a wonderful future hope & God will wipe every tear from our eyes. In the meantime, however, it feels like an empty & joyless existence filled with constant sadness and struggle. I feel like I could die of loneliness and sadness. That nothing in this life is worth pursuing- after all its all vanity & chasing after the wind. Everything has been ruined by Satan's influence and the only safe place is the org/congregation. I do feel happy about spiritual things but I'm living in this world too - with no support.

  I can't talk to anyone about this on the outside ( mental health counselor) because it could be a bad impression on the org plus they won't understand where I'm coming from anyway. I can't talk to anyone on the inside because then I'll be excluded even more. Doomed either way.

  I know that isolating myself magnify's my depression. But I have no friends or family. So isolation is.kind of forced on me. I can't outrun it!

  I'm not sure the point of this post, just the same as I'm not sure the point of this life.

  i was born in 1977 & came in as a convert in 2003 --- so i have no idea what went on before my time.. however i have been familiar with the scriptures of "nobody knows the day or hour" & " it will come as a theif in the night" meaning that it was sure but unpredictable time.

  how could anyone belive that anyone else ( organization or not) put a date on it?.

  also what was the significance of 1975 anyway?

  Thanks for the link! I'm speechless! They were specifically saying not to plan ahead past 1975 and then turned around and said that it was the rank and file who were the ones who made those decisions. Wow! Just wow.

  The kids born in the 70s ( like me) are known as Generation X. We had our childhood in the 80s & teen years/young adulthood in 90s. We had an analog childhood but digital adulthood. The last generation without cell phones, internet or social media. I have always had the belief that the end would come during my Generation ( just my belief- not taught by GB).that those is the true meaning of this generation will not pass away before A.

  So I'm 46 and if my lifespan is 80 years I'm guessing it will happen anytime between now and 34 years from now. My general prediction based on how fast the world is spinning toward the toilet. The internet and technology has sped things up and society has declined rapidly since 1975.

  just a good conversation at home about the hour report change.. we think the change was not impmemented because the gb are such a lovely bunch of old grandpa's having the best in mind for us individuals.. there will be only, and we say only, an organizational reason for it.

  a legal reason, to protect jw.org and it's officials and wealth.. next step?

  maybe selling more kh and when jw hollywood studio's in rampoo are ready a change to tv subscription.. what do you think?

  sometimes things don't come across the way the speaker intended.. years ago there was an ad by the whitegoods company fisher and paykel.

  they showed them going to great lengths to get customer feedback on what was important to them.

  one customer said that she wanted it to be easy to get her appliances serviced when they broke down.

  reddit has now removed the video link of samuel herd telling jw's they will no longer have to report time or placements - just tick a box which says "active.".
