to hell is where they belong......... they take away someones life .
That's a good prayer to have wildfire. If we all pray hard enough and work hard enough for that goal, we'll make a difference in this world, and that's what it's all about. Keep up the good work!

hello, ive been disfellowshipped for being with my boyfriend who is a witness also, i'm sad and dont know what to do now, so ive been looking around for answers, and found this site.
i don't want to go back because the people i thought i loved, the fellow brothers and sisters , didnt seem to care when i was having problems, and i wondered where the "love" was in the organization.
so there is my problem.

I thought the elders were supposed to shepard their flock, but I feel "skinnned and thrown about"Most of us have been right where you are now. I feel for you. so my only bit of post this morning is a letter from the elders, i've been doing battle with them for a few weeks over arrangements for a judicial committee.
well, anyway as expected they "will not enter into any correspondence" nor will they allow a friend to attend the meeting with me but they will meet on friday to finalise the matter!
If I had it to do all over again, I'd DA myself by way of a letter in the local paper.

well, anyway as expected they "will not enter into any correspondence" nor will they allow a friend to attend the meeting with me but they will meet on friday to finalise the matter!
I would request an outside committee first of all. You can call the Branch Judicial desk, and explain that you'd like a new committee and why (Your Husband is an elder in this congregation I'm presuming?). Tell them you will feel uncomfortable with these men and you don't feel you can open up to them. It's a conflict of interest. Also, explain to them that you wish to bring a witness in your defense. You also need to know what the meeting is in reference to. How can you possibly defend yourself if you have no idea what they want? When I was DF, I called the Judicial Desk, and they informed the Elders to inform me of the specifics of the meeting, although they wouldn't inform me of the witnesses they had. After recording the conversation, go straight to the Newspaper. Or do that beforehand and bring the reporter with you to the meeting.

The Mormons use 'Excommunication' as well, so it could be any of at least the three. Generally though, the press jumps right on the JW thing.....sometimes not as much a we'd hope, but they're usually pretty good about pointing out the JWs.
in case anyone is wondering about our registration policy:.
i don't intend to turn people away who want to register and post or make ultra-strict registration procedures because i honestly don't think that they work.
if i were to ask for names of congregations or presiding overseers then i have no real way of checking if they are correct.

what do you think should happen to the two american pilots who fired on and killed the 4 canadians over in afganistan last year in the friendly fire incident?
this is a hard one.
as a canadian, i fully support the usa and obviously this disaster was not intentional and i'm sure the pilots must feel awful about it.
I'm not going to try and answer your question, because I just really don't know. It sucks, and I feel for the families, but this getting on Bush for his reaction was just ridiculous. You have to take the full situation into consideration. We're at war, it's less than 3 months since 9/11, and you're a fairly new President......all that and more weighs heavy on a man, no matter who he is. He called the Prime Minister immediately, and he made an apology both to Canadian and American Press. The problem was, he gave a speech a day or two later and didn't mention the situation. Well guess what? We have people dieing all over the world every day, if he spent all his time apologizing for all that he'd have no time to blow the middle east off the map :)
i just spoke to my mum about why the baptism questions change to reflect from god to the borg and she had this comment to say:.
