Doubting the Trinity and Paradise
by ClassAvenger ini don't doubt the trinity, but again i had a talk with one of my jw friends and he gave me several bible passages which he wants me to explain, most deal with the trinity, and others deal with the belief in heaven.
he says that they show that jesus was less than his father, and was a separate person, and the others state that paradise will be here on earth.
argument: how come no one has seen god, not even jesus?

How many of you are remarried to a "WORLDLY" spouse and are HAPPIER now?
by Jessica Rabbit inmaybe i'm just lucky, but my new husband who has never even been to church treats me better than my first husband who was raised a jw.
my first husband was an alcoholic who had no respect for women.
i suffered with a lot of verbal and emotional abuse.if i wasn't in a romantic mood, then there was something wrong with me.

wait, you just said you agree with me that Jesus/Jehovah is not God the Father...... what's up with that? LOL.
I believe Jesus/Jehovah is one in the same and the Creator. I also believe Jesus/Jehovah is God's actual son, his offspring, not a creation. Rev ---------- LambsRoar.org

ok, haha, Let me rephrase that.
Judging from the various translations, and their inaccuracies. I don't trust any version enough to bet my life on them. I talk to God on my own, I believe what I believe, and for the most part, I won't let even the Bible waver my beliefs. For me to put any faith in any portion of the Bible, it has to be so clear cut, obvious, and consistent throughout the Bible. I don't buy into these things where something is said once, and people believe it as Gospel. Like the Jws do for example, take things out of context, base doctrinal issues that destroy people's lives and what not on a single scripture. In other words, I take the Bible as a nice 'guide to life', but beyond that I wouldn't trust to believe it as Gospel in full.

Let me rephrase that. I don't believe Jesus/Jehovah is God the Father - AND, I don't care what the Bible says, because it's not reliable, haha. Rev ---------- LambsRoar.org -

Monkey brought out some good points, I have to say. But in all reality we convict innocent people to life in prison and even to death all the time, it's just a sad fact of reality.
As for these offenders that were abused themselves.....
well, hopefully if we get a handle on these things now, we can help more abuse victims earlier. You know, several years ago, it was not acceptable to even speak of these things, and today it's not a whole lot better. People don't want to hear it, they don't want to talk about it. They'd rather talk about the Church outing or company picnic this weekend, when in reality these are prime targets for pedophiles. As time goes on, the topic alone will be more accepted into mainstream society, and that in itself will reduce the numbers of Survivors that later become abusers themselves. It's only common sense that the more we know, the more we accept, the more we think and talk, and the more we help victims at an earlier age....the lower the percentage will be of this types of abusers.
These Abuse Survivors were taught that this behavior is acceptable, most times from a very young, impressionable age. If we're not there to help them to see that it's NOT acceptable, then the chances are higher that they'll become abusers. So, while we have much work to do in that aspect, spotting these pedophiles in the first place will greatly assist us in protecting our children, and protecting the abuse victims that 'slip through the cracks'.
If this were to become law, will innocent people be 'tagged'. Absolutely, but in reality any innocent person that's been convicted of this crime has lost their lives as they knew it in the first place. It's a horrible horrible thought, it really is, but the more we define the laws regarding sexual abuse, the better it is for the innocent as well, in my estimation. Being that this subject has been 'taboo' for so long, the laws of most lands are simply not working. Rev ---------- LambsRoar.org

I have no hard feelings RF. Like I said, I've learned alot this past year. I don't get as agitated as I used to, and I took your opinion as what it was, your opinion. And no matter what, you have to respect another person's view on any subject, unless of course that view is harming other people. In other words, I wasn't planning on putting a tracking device on your ankle, not yet anyway :)
I also know what it's like when things are looking down, emotions can run amok.
Take care, and give your wife a big hug from all of us.
