hey guys good news my wife is showing how faithful she is today by not going to the assembly today with the kids.she don't go out in service with the kids and is irregular at the meetings screwing up my private tyme.
i use to argue with my wife about taken my kids to the hall and service and she would go.
now i do the opposite and she don't go, i leave all my anti jw books and tapes around i do know she .
Wow, you let her take your kids to the meetings to help them out? What? I really think that we should encourage bin Laden to get more into his warped version of Islam. That should make him see how wrong it is...... Doesn't quite work does it?

Hey Bernard, you're an ass. Wow, so happy you're not a control freak. You don't control your wife and kids because you let her take them to the meetings. You get to do whatever you want and its nice and easy. So basically, if you wife was taking your kids to be anally raped by a group of hairy midgets (no offense to any hairy midgets here who enjoy group anal sex) you'd still consider yourself a pretty good guy because you don't try to stop her from taking the kids. Personally, I would much rather be anally raped by all the hairy midgets in the world than be a JW. Wow, you're so lucky to take control of youf life. Who cares what your point was, you're an ass.

has anyone out there had experience of working for or with jws?.
is it just me, or are they the worst people to work with....they "use" anybody for their own ends, they expect everyone else to make allowances for their life style but are not prepared to make allowances for anyone else's, they do as little as they can for as long as they can and have absolutely no loyalty to their employers or fellow workers!!.
my recent experience is that they also will be "economical" with the truth (the real truth), as long as it benefits them.. maybe i'm a bit biased, but i would never want to work with or for another witness ever again!
I've done computer repair for a couple companies in my area and there were usually a JW or 2 in the offices that I worked in. They knew me and my history pretty well and that I'm not the least bit ashamed of it. I would always have fun with them and go up and say hi and talk to people around them. You should have seen them squirm!!!! "Ack, here's an apostate but I don't want to look like some psycho and totally ignore them, what do I do?!?!?!?!" What was really funny was that one them her husband was on the judicial committee that disfellowshipped my best friend for apostacy! Even other people in the office noticed that when she had to talk to me (like when I would be making changes to all the computers) she would never look at me. So yeah, I've worked around (though never quite with) JW's though I really loved it and thought it quite enjoyable. I'd even volunteer to work in their areas so they'd have to deal with the evil apostate!

Anyone ever heard of Tunguska? Huge explosion in Siberia in the early 1900's. The whole world was without darkenss for a few days as sunlight was reflecting the dust in the atmosphere. Not only that but if had come down about a thousand miles away Moscow wouldn't be around any more. The power of that explosion was way greater than any of the atomic bombs dropped on Japan. This isn't some obscure thing that we just read could happen. It does and will almost definitely happen again.

recently, there have been great debates between people on this forum on the whole "evolution vs. creation" matter.
while i'm not an expert on evolution, i do understand it to an extent, and while it may not be a perfect answer, it's a bilion times better than the literal explanation given in the bible for the origin of life (which i have so far not seen evidence for).
Ah the Creation book. One of, if not the worst of all scientific attempts by JW's. Yes, there are loads and loads of misquotations in this book. Some have already been quoted here and others have been linked to so I won't get into that. I do remember that one of the big books quoted by an "expert" was The Neck of Giraffes. I can't remember who wrote it but I do remember seeing some of this guy's other works. Not exactly a biology expert. More like a water witching expert among other things that a nice little JW could get disfellowshipped for. In all honesty, I'm amazed that they used any of this guy's work. This is like quoting the Pope to say how great Jesus is. I'm with you on the transitional fossils issue. Actually, the more fossils you find and the more complete record you get the greater lack of transitional fossils there will be. Hey, if you only have steps 1 and 10 then there is only 1 hole in the record. If you have steps 1, 4, 5, 8, and 10 then you don't have 5 transitions. Also, JW's and most creationists in general always bug me by talking about how impossible it would be to get our cells by chance. While true, it evolution is somewhat governed by chance its not like our modern cells came about in their current state. In various meteorites all the amino acids (plus a few extra) that are found in life have been found and recently sugars that also make up life have been found in meteorites. Take the basic building blocks from material that was more readily available back then and add a nice mixing and it really wouldn't be that hard for life to come up in a very very basic yet functioning way.

Wouldn't the fact that you're on this board seriously suggest that a person isn't in the best of standings with JW's? Tell ya what, avoid me yoyo. You're an ass.

Anything you hear saying the earth is any younger than aproximately 4.55 billion years old is probally a twisted version of what some nut case thinks the bible says.

For those of you who may be wondering how that extension Simon recommened for converting Office files into webpages worked out here are the results of my quick tests. Just for the record, I've got Office 2000 running on Windows 2000 Pro here at home. I just tried using the converter with an Excel file. I saved it as a webpage and then ran it through the converter as I didn't get a nice button that comes up in Excel like I did with word. It doesn't have anything complicated in it and is around 160 lines and 6 columns. It knocked the size down a good bit but for some weird reason reformatted some cells and totally moved the contents in some to the top of the page for some unknown reason. For this webpage I'm pretty sure I'll still just transfer everything to Dreamweaver to do the website which stinks because I update this page way more than I do the one I tried with Word. Seemed to do ok with a simple Word file (my resume that I have posted on my website) that I converted although there was still some stuff in the code that really served no purpose what so ever. I imagine I'll use it quite a bit with this file but just make sure I bring it into Dreamweaver to get rid of some of the extra pieces that are unneeded. I do like the tool for this purpose as it means I don't have to do a lot of the cleaning manually There's the report on my quick little tests that I ran. At this point in time I'd say its a good little utility to have but still would definitely recomend getting your hands on a copy of Dreamweaver if possible if you do very much web authoring at all.
