so many elders are now saying no to pretty much everything.. they are saying no to assignments and away talks.
saying no to jobs in the cong.
the cos and the super fine elders are using scripture and the elders manual to try to persuade them to step up.. many are coming off as an elder, but even more are simply saying the cost of living or other reasons they are just finding it hard to fulfill all their assignments.. if you say you want to come off the public talks list altogether they still try putting you down for some and making a fuss saying you have to give some public talks.
Never underestimate the power of passive resistance.
It’s effective even when the resisters don’t even know they’re resisting.
I can see many JWlite elders just doing the minimum kind of in name only.
there are a few other elders in the cong super busy doing everything sometimes multiple jobs.
they ask the other elders to take on something and the answer is no. What can the other elders do? Nothing.
then the CO tells the busy elders to show Christian personality and forgive the JW lite elders

I don’t think the JWs have plants they are not that smart or sophisticated
they do have multiple exJW who are activists that may as well be plants as someone like Lloyd is a good advert for them.
this is what happens if you leave JWs. You completely mess up your life. You end up with no job relying on handouts. In a country you didn’t bother to learn the language after decades of trying. JWs seem to learn new languages in short times because of the local congregation helping.
He lives in a cheap dump probably with drug addicts and alcoholics and he is slightly that way inclined himself and very depressed
Then with everyone hating you and thinking you are disgraceful and disgusting.
even Lloyd’s kids and all his family and friends will see the truth about him. It’s a big advert to not leave JWs. If he stayed Physically in even if he was mentally agnostic as he claims to be now, then he would not have messed up his life so terribly

They took me off microphones when I had not been out in the ministry for a few months, but when they needed a highly specialized and uncommon and skill for a building project, they we quick to call. I explained that I was not qualified to even hold a microphone, so "I don't see any way that I can help you".That felt so good.
Yes that’s also true of young brothers who are not baptised yet. Well the elders say he doesn’t qualify for microphones so obviously he doesn’t qualify for baptism
it’s pretty obvious by now that the real reason they told folks to stay home and use Zoom was because their charity status would have been threatened otherwise (there were a few cases in the news where a church wouldn’t comply, and that’s exactly what happened).
Since the Org’s business model needs its tax-exemption to stay in the black - i.e. its financial survival is dependent on it - they had no choice but to play ball…

What’s all that about someone confessing to something the elders should contact the branch?
is it the case that in the past the elders would have made a decision but now the branch makes the decision? And maybe if it is someone who knows someone if you know what I mean they they will let it slide?

my guess is most jws know it’s not true on a subconscious level to an extent but they don’t want to think about it too much and would never ever voice it out loud.. but this is probably true with all religions around the world?.
If you decide to stay in because you don't want to deal with the fallout from admitting that you do not believe, then do what you must. But don't call it agnostic.
No that is not right. I stay in because I’m agnostic. Maybe the Bibles promises will have some truth to them: I have hope that the Bibles promises will come true. But I’m agnostic
there are no serious consequences for doubting the gb.
there are no consequences for going against the direction.
we can now celebrate anything.. what will happen if you take blood, celebrate xmas and birthdays ect?.
The new direction is if the person says they are repentant then that is enough.

Yes there are no real consequences now for going against direction. Sure elders may talk to you and you can just ignore them. It’s very hard to get announced that you are no longer a JW. Even if it comes to this it’s just a 90 day thing then the elders are begging you to come back

What if you decide not to do any heavy lifting? JW light means only very light lifting. Go to meetings if you feel like it, very seldom in person just stay on zoom most of the time.
go to ministry groups for the nice social aspect but don’t ever do door to door. This is what many are doing.

then some huge huge changes.
for example by 2034 in a decades time, they will have address the 1914 issue and will come out and say we can’t be dogmatic.
It’s easier than ever to do a half fade where you end up JW light.
some people haven’t been seen for months then they May appear on zoom or at the KH in person every now and then. Just to catch up with old friends.
these are all counted as JWs but they don’t believe it anymore.
my prediction is upto 50% of the 9 million reported JWs will be JW light soon. The other 50% are mixed between JW heavy which are the pioneer types and semi light who do act like they believe it all but secretly don’t.
