  Different Vibe in hall since new understanding of Faithful slave

  has any noticed a different vibe in the kingdom hall since the new understand of the faithful and discreet slave .

  when my wife forces me to go once and while and like to say i wonder what the slave will be this week .

  man it pisses her off but she has been hardly actively since the new light.

  We had a baptized couple a show in jeans for a C.O visit.

  We have another couple that are making about 5-6 meeting a year. As for field service, I don’t think they do it anymore and are still included as publishers on the back board.

  We were in the middle of a study and they are taking about how the bible understandings change and then the next paragraph it was about how it is important to keep shunning the disfellowed. I approached the head elder after the meeting and said “ So the truth today can be different than the truth tomorrow and if you don’t believe this you are not allowed to see your family again ?” Is that really what that meeting was about. Maybe we could have a study sometime and you show me that in the bible “.

  We exchanged numbers. Never heard from him.

  Anyone Else Feeling Forced to Go to the Memorial?

  i refuse to go to any meetings, assemblies, conventions, special talks or the like...however, i get coerced into going to the memorial every year.

  because it keeps the peace at home with hubby and also makes my parents, who live elsewhere, have hope that i will come to my senses and become an active witness again.

  there is no chance in hell of that happening, but it prevents the ties to my family from being severed.

  I don’t know if anyone is familiar with Satanism or Satanic metal but the whole idea of the upside down cross or drinking blood is to mock God.

  The whole memorial seems to making a mockery of Christianity. The whole thing feels more like a marilyn manson concert to me. Last year then they started to pass the bread and wine I just sat in the bathroom for 20 minutes. It really got too disgusting for me.

  Why don't Born Again Christians include themselves as "Cults"?

  when i see or hear born again christians calling mormons, jws, 7th day adventists, jews etc; cults i always have wondered is that not the pot calling the kettle black?

  i just amazes me how so much in denial bacs(born again christians) are.

  they love to condemn and throw stones at others but they will never, never, and i mean never label themselves as cults even though they have some of the weirdest beliefs.

  1. Don’t have mindless obedience to human leadership.

  2. Being a Born again doesn’t destroy lives and families.

  3. Doesn’t require additional holy books or prophets to understand god’s word.

  I remember sitting in some meeting and they were doing the whole mock house holder thing.

  Aren’t JW a cult – House holder

  Meanwhile, I am thinking, man you just lied. It’s all just made up by 8 magical men in Brooklyn. What exactly do these heavenly hopers have to do with watchtower policy.

  Now they admit it is all just made up my magical 8. No one cares.

  Has any noticed a different vibe in the Kingdom Hall since the new understand of the “ Faithful and Discreet Slave “. When my wife forces me to go once and while and like to say “I wonder what the Slave will be this week “. Man it pisses her off but she has been hardly actively since the new light.

  In my little hall we have had three elders move away, a couple fade, a few that have become barely active. Like 15 minutes every three months and I think they are lying even about that. Funny thing, no one cares.

  No hounders, no sheparding calls………….nothing.

  We are just phoning it in now.

  Brooklyn vs Jersalem

  unbaptized mate here.. in my dealing with the jehovah witnesses do you ever find it odd they seem to be more obsessed with visiting bethel brooklyn new york than jerusalem israel.

  i have evangelical christians ned flanders type christians in my family and they are all about visiting the holy land.. jehovah witnesses seem to care less but sure get a boner about the magical men in brooklynn.

  Unbaptized mate here.

  In my dealing with the Jehovah witnesses do you ever find it odd they seem to be more obsessed with visiting Bethel Brooklyn New York than Jerusalem Israel. I have evangelical Christians Ned Flanders type Christians in my family and they are all about visiting the holy land.

  Jehovah Witnesses seem to care less but sure get a boner about the magical men in Brooklynn. Just find it odd.

  Joining a Church and advice from co-workers!!!!!!!!!!

  so im obviously out mentally....i havent da-ed but i cant care less!

  but.....my co workers are encouraging me to find and join a church.

  this person is particularly "wisdomonian" meaning she seems to solve and assist many an ailing indicidual in my field.

  I read this article about six things you should avoid when choosing a church

  1. End times church. If you hear the words Magog and Armageddon over and over. Run

  2. Churches that revolve around a charismatic pastor or leader.

  3. The patriotic church- Churches that believe the USA has a special place in god’s plan.

  4. The liberal church- gay pastors, pro-choice etc. Non-religious people speak quite highly about them but membership is in sharp decline.

  5. The social club church.

  6. The bible isn’t complete with our additional text churches. Ellen White, Joseph Smith. Claim to have a monopoly on truth.

  got approached by a brethren the other day who started to engage me in conversation about christianity i thought at first that he was a gb witness but turned out not when i explained to him that i thought he was one he said no no not one of those that lie and decieve he represented a true religion that only those that follow will get ever lasting life etc they apparently stick to first century teachings and when i said followers of the governing body also claim this so he explained how they differ;.

  brethren - 1/ clergy dont lie about not having paid clergy as they actually dont have paid clergy the only exception being missionary`s who are sponsored.

  2/ neck ties-not worn as they are pagan.

  When must people think of Brethen, they are really thinking about Exclusive Brethen.

  I live and work in a company ran by them. They are amazing people. Everything they touch turns to gold. Pretty good for people don't have any formal education beyond grade 12. Really entrepreneur people. Actually I don't think they can work for non-Brethen people.

  It is really strange. We have two lunch rooms. They refuse to eat us unclean. They talk to us as little as possible ( the unclean) but htye pay us well so who cares.

  I had a friend who tried to go to there church one Sunday and he was met at the door by two elders. " This church isn't for you ". They don't recruit at all.

  They have a supreme leader who is a channel to god , shun anyone who disagrees with anything for the magical man, Basically same crap different day but you don't have to go door to door.

  hello everyone just wanted to relate a situation that occurred a few days ago.

  so i have quit going to meetings for a few months now based on some issues i have with the explanations of current doctrines.

  my wife is none too happy with this but over the last few months we have had some date nights and have tentitively agreed to disagree.
