i overheard this argument re the new tract campaign.

one elder told a publisher, to hide the tract in the mailbox if the home owner wasn't home.

the publisher was used to folding the tip of the tract, and just left a tip showing.

I got a hand written letter in my mail box one time about Jesus and God and stuff. This was long before I had anything to do with the Witnesses. It seemed odd and very personal. Funny thing is it didn’t even mention the word Jehovah.

Then I married a dub and saw my wife writing those stupid letters. Man, they take a long time. Then I realized it had nothing to actually do with the letter. It was just an ingenuous way to waste time. Why use a photocopier when you can just rack up the hours as a 12 th century scribe.

When I found this out, I thought maybe the person who wrote the letter was sincere. I then realized if they used the word Jehovah, I would know who it was and it was illegal.

About four years ago I listened to this speaker at a Full Gospel church about the Arab Spring and how the United Nations will promise to protect Israel and this treaty will be broken. It was pretty much the standard evangelical position where the church and Israel are two different things. Israel will be attacked by its neighbours and BAM jesus comes back.

The funny thing is he said something like the good guys today will be the enemies of tomorrow. It kind of ironic that Gaddafi, Assad, Saddam etc etc were really the lesser of two evils.

This really just isn’t a JW thing.

I like to tell the JW I will be raptured before things get too bad. Man, it pisses them off.
