  Control - Whose worse, the JWs or the traditional churches?

  Just handed in my Disassociation letter

  tonight my dl was posted by hand by my husband (a worldly guy).

  i had the luxury of being at work distracted whilst he posted it.

  i have been baptised for just over 2 years and studied since 2010. i couldn't take it anymore, not just the zealous dislike/disgust for 'people in the world' (this includes my husband and 99% of my family btw) but the obvious.... the investigations into child sexual abuse.

  I think once you realize that they believe someone operating a gas chamber in a German death camp will be resurrected to life on paradise earth for a second chance. Yet the person who very politely says no thank you I have my own church will be destroyed forever at the big A, really how utterly deluded the WTS is.

  Did you get " Counseled " about the Music you Listened to While you were a JW ?

  from the time i was a small boy - i loved rock n' roll music.

  beatles, rolling stones, led zeppelin, hendrix.

  i started getting slighted for the music i listened to as i lay in my bedroom listening on headphones to led zeppelin's song " black dog " at age 14 with my elder dad looking suspiciously at me as i'm rocking out .

  When I was growing up as a kid in the 80s my church really had a hate on for KISS. It's funny cause there was much more scary bands out there like vemon and king diamond.

  Anyway years later we had a KISS day in the office. Basically listened to them for 10 years straight. KISS in reality is about as scary as the beach boys. They aren't even that good of musicians thus the lack of respect for their musical peers. That and the fact they were basically the first boy band.

  This is something I always kind of thought JWS were kind of lax on. Every hall I have known seems to have kind of elder based band who plays beatles and eagles covers.

  Alcohol and secular music at jw social events was the first thing I really noticed when meeting my wife. Those things were absolutely unheard of at the church I was raised.

  Finding love as a witness

  hi i'm new.. i'm going on 2yrs as a baptized witness although i've just received a reproval on the grounds of living with a wordly man unmarried for 6 months.

  long story short it ended messy and i ran straight back to the witnesses because i do love jehovah and i missed my family.

  my issues were only with the actual organization.. i desperately want to find someone to share my world with but i feel like i'm too tainted to be loved by anyone worthy in the truth and my morals are to high to love another boy from the world.

  Date and marry whoever you want. Just keep your pants on and they can't really do anything. Of course there will be a few shunners but they are assholes anyway.

  Also re read your theology. You are outside of the new convanent. You can't have a relationship with God. Praying is pointless and you never had a relationship with God.

  No jw man is a serious christian so don't worry about it.

  this video will be played at one of the clam meetings in march 2016.. the content is kind of old news because it is a recut version of a previous video produced for the elder's school.

  however, it's still significant because it shows that the organization still has dissenting brothers in positions of leadership.. my thanks to the leaker.

  I should call the elders and threaten to kill myself.

  I want to pray to jehovah but I am not sure if I part of the 1914 ers or the 1935 ers or the overlappers or do I pray to the c.o then he prays to the magical seven or do you take my letters to Santa to magical seven yoursel. Not really sure what the understanding of the fds is this week..

  a primary school headteacher has been mocked on twitter after claiming that evolution was “a theory” and there was “more evidence that the bible is true”..... she has attempted to dismiss her stupidity as just her personal opinion but it was tweeted from her headteacher account.. even more worrying was the mealy-mouthed response from her employers... a spokesman for blackburn diocesan board of education said: “as a diocese we state all schools should teach the full national curriculum, which includes ‘adaptation of plants and animals and that adaption may lead to evolution’.”.

  what chance do the children have being taught by a stupid teacher employed by an even more stupid bunch of theocrats?

  this is why there should be no such thing as a "church school".

  I think the old guy really wanted to say alot more than he actually did.

  Jehovah witness theology is essential a belief you are eternally separated from god and only though your works and obidence to the G7 can you be saved. It's actually quite depressing.

  It's just bizarre to me more jws didn't understand the significance of the new understanding of the fds. It's like they said fuck it, we're a cult and don't care who knows.
