  Evidence of Supernatural Ability

  i would be interested to hear members' views on:.

  a) what they would consider to be a supernatural ability and.

  b) what they would consider sufficient evidence to convince them it was genuine.. (it's late here so if i don't participate for the next few hours don't think i cut and run :)).

  Cedars' comment about JWs being concerned only with their own is absolutely correct.

  If I were still a JW my first thought about the tragedy would have been to worry that some JW kids were among the victims. I would have felt badly for all of the families affected, but seriously, I would have thought, "Well, at least the victims will get a resurrection."

  I'm so glad I'm not still under their mind control. It makes you almost not human.

  it was so easy i should have done it long ago....i went to www.abc.com, filled in the search bar with "20/20" and then clicked on 'email us'.

  my request was simple "please do an expose' on j.w.

  's and how they hide and protect pedophiles and then require those same pedophiles to go into public neighborhoods....putting them in contact with innocents, while not even being known amongst their own congregation members for the vile persons they are".. if enough of us make similar requests.....maybe,just maybe, we'll get our request.

  i just wanted to give an overall apology regarding how i was speaking to people on friday.

  but the shooting really shook me up.

  i think i said some things that were offensive to people, and even if my words were not offensive, the way i expressed myself was.

  This must be a fairly new rule, probably to combat leaks to the apostates on the Internet *rubs hands together while snickering* My brother was a Bethelite for 18 years, and he shared stuff with us, including info from Morning Worship. But he left Bethel in 1999, before the Internet was EVIL. And Happy Birthday, Green Hornet!

  here is some good advice:.

  ask the jw you are studying with where the original manuscripts of the bible are kept.. see if they are even aware of the fact there are none in existence anywhere!.

  their religious views are from men who assert that the bible is their foundation.

  It took me a long time to let go of the Bible, but then I watched "Religulous" with Bill Maher. When he got to the part where he was interviewing an actor playing "Jesus" at an amusement park and said that the whole Jesus story had been floating around the Mediterranean area for thousands of years before Jesus was born, the scales fell from my eyes. Plagiarism! In the Bible! Dude, seriously?
