Is this really the article? Holy cats! It used to be JWs were supposed to buttonhole bypassers or innocent shoppers in line and start a conversation whether they wanted it or not. And they were supposed to inform the literature-accepting householder that they had the privilege of donating to the "world-wide work." Now, it seems like manners are more important.

HA! Take that Watchtower! One less Borg for you!!!!!
by Gojira_101 inlast week a friend of mine contacted me out of the blue asking if we could have lunch together.
my friend has been studing with the jw's on and off for about 11-12 years i think.
she has told me everytime i see her that she can't wait for jehovah to end this evil world...she can't wait for the new system...the end is so close....etc.. i sent her a message back telling her that i left the jw's and asked her if she had heard that.

Governing body member engaged... Again!
by OneDayillBeFree injust found out that the australian governong body member known as geoffrey jackson got engaged to a sister about two weeks ago.
it really shocked me at first but then i remembered how other members of the gb have remarried in the past like daniel sidlik.
what made me say "woah" was hearing that the holy bride to be is really young!

Still, how'd he pull of sex with a 12 year old at the KH with other folks around?
My guess would be that he'd been grooming her so she wouldn't put up a fuss. Everyone's inside eating at lunchtime. He has a van in the parking lot.

WTS Suggestion Box (to give back for all the things the WT has done for us)
by return of parakeet insometimes i think we're too hard on the wts and the dubs.
a dub's life, after all, is not an easy one: minimal formal education, low-paying jobs, incessant demands on their time for meetings, field service, shunning, regular beatings for their children, etc.. even the wts itself is not immune.
think of all the hard work the gb must do to keep their "new light" up-to-date without making the old light look like a pack of lies.

Energy-saving, low-voltage nu lite.
Recycling - for doctrine flip-flops.
Heart-healthy spiritual food. Oh wait, that can't be done. JWs don't acknowledge their heart - it's treacherous.

Women look way better in skirts, so there's that...
Dude, how about you shave your legs and wear pantyhose for a whole day and get back to us on that?

Anyone here believe in white magick?
by diana netherton inif so, does it work?
i've been reading up on it and i am curious as to how it works.. .

I don't believe in magic per se, but I do believe there are energies and powers at work in the universe that we don't fully understand.
For example, your brain puts out measurable electrical impulses - that's a scientific fact.
We've all had the experience of meeting someone for the first time and knowing immediately that we will like/dislike them. How can we know that when we haven't even spoken to them?
Everyone puts out energy. A place can put out energy. Every get a creepy feeling when you enter a house for the first time?
My BFF lives 1000 miles away from me, but she knows when I'm having a bad day even without any communication from me. How is that possible?
Like I said, there are energies and powers at work in the universe that we don't fully understand, but I wouldn't call it "magic."

Welcome Jai! Isn't it terrible how much despair you felt over your situation in the Dubs. I'm glad your eyes are open and you're progressing. I hope you can get out while keeping your family. Good luck!
