If you look in the insight book it gives the lineage of the kings up Nebuchadnezzar. If you add up all the years it brings you to 605/606 when he started as king. Also in the insight book it says he started his reign in 625.If you go by the insight books dates he started his reign so 625 - 562 when he died equals 63 years and he died at the age of 68 so that would make him 5 years old on 625.He reigned for 43 years so 625-43=582.So for 20 years he hung around not as king.I like to keep things simple Nabopolasser Nebuchanezzar's father reigned from 625 to 605 so Nebuchanezzar started he riegn when his father died and if you had up all the years of the rest of the kings it adds up no missing years to 539 when they were conquered. When they became an empire in 609 minus the 539 there is the 70 years of captivity.

Nebuchadnezzar's accession year in 625 B.C.E
by biometrics indoes anyone have info on why the watchtower's view that nebuchadnezzar's accession year was in 625 b.c.e is incorrect.. from the cd rom:.
jerusalem came under final siege in zedekiahs 9th year (609 b.c.e.
), and the city fell in his 11th year (607 b.c.e.

my wife and I fell away for a few years but she went back when she became pregnant.I saw the change in her when she went back just full of fear and anxious to the point of taking antidepressants now.She cant believe I dont believe in it anymore and of course she drags my daughter to the hall.It is a bone of contention with us now.

After reading this thread it opened my eyes to something I never thought of before.I realized that my daughter(who is 7years old) is feeling sad that I wont make it through amagedon. Thanks ,now I will have to play it smart when she gets older and starts to ask questions. My parents and my brothers kid of fell away at the same time so I never really thought of this issue.Cheers

this topic has been discussed before ... i just wanted to put my two cents in.. i will start off by saying that of course mental illness exists outside of the organization.

I know alot of JW's on antidepressants and a couple of those are my wife and my mother inlaw. If you go to youtube and type in Jehovah's witnesses
and mental illness there is an hour long video about it is very interesting.
