  i admit i no longer believe in god and holy books.. thinking of the made up 'universal sovereignty' thing, surely if god existed in the way the holy books describe him then he could have thought of something better than humankind suffering thousands of years and the slaughter of jesus?.

  couldn't god have said: 'well, satan is a very naughty boy but you all know how great i am so we can end it now.

  i will lovingly kill satan and his mates and that's that.

  Punk of nice, hello. You are coming up with a question which has bothered me too.

  I think that mediation about the self-sacrificing, devotional and humble service of Jesus himself can be one of the answers to this puzzyfool question.

  First, Jesus would have certainly laughed about the Jehovas witnesses arguing, that Adam or Satan could ever offend Gods sovereinty. Even if he had known this JW concept, he would never have preached about that stuff or admitted his valuable time to contradict that.

  Hello,

  I read the passages which say that Rutherfords and Russels say, that they were not against military service in general

  and that WT always tried to fulfill the "cecar's" duties, but i dont understand exactly why they were imprisoned, was

  it the behaviour of Rutherford, his public talkings or was it the books or the magazines which could not be altered anymore?

  this is my opinion, i don't have official quotes or official instructions to back this up.

  what i have is real life experience of having been an elder that was involved in investigating an allegation of child abuse, why we didn't report, why we didn't encourage the parents to report.. its simple really, the main reason elders don't report is concern that they may lose their position in the congregation.

  if you in any way "run ahead" of the society, you will be perceived as proud and arrogant and will be deleted!

  a shepherding. a business with low-level and top-level functionaries who have to function as functionaries more than as discreet slave with human balanced views and love. Is this religion as functionary's hell, where all funcitionaries, the grey men with the proclaimers pockets will end and eternally suffer?

  HayDay: gives a philosophy which is very logical. But I dont't funcion always logical. I am wonder and wonders are often surprising. Torah, Jesus and Koran the 3 monotheistisch religions have an other standpoint, they don't teach really that man from beginning is evil. But principially i believe in the wonder that Jesus died for us and that he cares for us is, is with us all the time. It is an other form of slavery, where God made himself a slave for us, to show that

  god is only love and mercy and nothing else. There are so many interesting thoughts in your comment, sorry for today i dont have more time to comment.

  this is a very serious matter as you know. Children shouldn' be afraid of Armageddon, nor of the doomsday anymore.

  I pray for it.

  Little drama:

  Caleb afraid of Boomsday.

  Caleb: „Doom, Boom, boom. Kawumm.“om: „Caleb, what are you doing now?“

  Caleb: „A friend gave me this magazine. [g 12/9] And the picture ist so freightening.“

  Mom: „Do you know which magazine this is, Caleb? It is Awake, Awake is magic and fantastic. You should never read these magazines any more, or should you look at it, because they are dangerous for your mind, arenn't they?“

  Caleb: „But the beautiful comics Mom hmmm.“

  Mom serious: „Caleb.“

  Caleb: „What is a Boomsday?“

  Mom: „Doomsday Caleb, you are not kidding about very serious matters, are you?“

  Caleb: „No mom“.

  Mom: „Do you remember how our God thinks about fantastic magazines that are freightening?“

  Additional info: As Awake 12/9 observes, the theologians !!! are really the worst sort of people: they don't stop debating endlessly these things! Awake never freightens someone, it gives hope! People have been shocked for decades about their theological interpretations about the great tribulation, armageddon and the millenium. [theologican dont speak much about such JW matters in reality!. Also theologic terms dont appear as if in the bible there would be no discussion about hell, eternal jugdment, because JW dont understand these matters] Theologians freightened the whole world with their misleading interpretations of the bible, according to awake. Only Awake always made clear that their will be no end of the world and a paradise. Our little planet earth will never be destroyed. The doomsday is mostly fantasy. BUT Awake has so to cover Doomsday and Watchtower has to cover Armageddon:because the public false meaning about these matters must be corrected. Wt and g dont speculate about armageddon they only must "biblical correct" the matter, because these words appear in the bible and have a special hopeful meaning. And someone must interprete it right. bla bla bla

  hi all i'm new to this, i joined because from what i can see this is the best ex jw forum out there.. anyway i'm male, 20, live in uk and left the wtbts after 2 years of being a student.. there was this girl called natalya and she has really took me on one hell of a ride.

  she was very helpful in my exit, because she often had debates with me and tried again and again to help me see sense.

  anyway we dated before i found the truth and to be honest, i never really stopped having these feelings for her even though we fell out a few times.
