JW and the Sabbath

i am an active jehovah's witness.

i don't believe in 1914 and i'm tototally against their way of dealing with abuse cases.

But I should have found back to the Sabbath subject again after my extensive look at the "nation Israel". And you mentioned the "sons of God" as being the same as "Israel". I dont have a head for this now and I am going swimming now, after all 30 *C today.

You refer to a point that I often rethink but latelty I always get to a point where I accept both meanings side-by side, the notion of the Jews today, who say they are under the convenant even today and the notion of the RC church who says the church is body of christ, new people of god.

The church doesnt use as far as I know the term "Israelites" or "spiritual israelites" for the body of christ like Jehovas witnesses and perhaps other little similar theologians.

When Paul spoke about the olive tree, and used the picture to show that people of nations could be nourished from the abrahamic root, The olive tree is not the same as the "Israelites"

The usage of the term "israelite" for the body of christ I see as problematic. "people of God" okay, its a picture, that shows that in Christ all men shall become one people.

but there IS one "israel"...galatians 3:28.

In Galatians 3:28 Paul says that there is neither Jew nor Greek today in Christ, it doesnt say that it is one "israel".
This does not mean that all people of nations become Israelites, just as little as it means that all jews become Greek.

Instead of becoming part of Israel, Paul announces a new creature, the body of Christ that consists of two parts:

1. of Jews (Israelites) from the nations and circumcised, Christians and therefore "true beliefers"

2. and christians of nations.

What happens is that

The true believing Jews are becoming Part of the body of Christ

and not reverse that the body of Christ becomes part of the Jews or "a spiritual nation Israel".

Galatians 6,16

15For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything. What counts is a new creation.16Peace and mercy to all who walk by this rule,even to the Israel of God. 17From now on let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.…

"Israel of God" here seems to refer not to all true believers, but to those believers from Israel who took refuge in Christ. The first sentence refers to beliefers of the nations, and the "israel of god" seem to be the the jewish saints not simple all Israelites according to the letter.

Instead of becoming part of Israel, Paul announces a new creature, the body of Christ.
“Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace” –Ephesians 2:15
Out of two groups, Jews and Gentiles, Christ made a new man and agency for salvation. This special agency is what we become when we are saved today. We do not know any man after the flesh, whether it is Israel or American or European (2 Cor 5:16).
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” – 2 Cor 5:17

To think of being part of "spiritual Israel" is like always referring always to being part of nation after flesh nethertheless, like remainin in the "people" thinking.

whereas the body of christ is a new man, a spiritual body (not nation) . Therefore I dont like the term "spiritual Israel".

His first point was: They did not have the BASIS, the Scriptures in their own hand to read it for themselves and they could not read, because they were lilliterates, until 1000 the european kings could not read at all! Until 1500 nobody could read, neiter the world language in western hemisphere latin nor the world language in eastern hemisphere greek, they did not like to read or to learn reading those european tribes.

Jesus proclaimed a gospel for all for illiterate and literate. The first christians didnt have their own bibles at home,because a bible was a treasure, they learn in the congregation of the talks of the bishops and diacenes, they listened to the gospel and became christians, they did not read it. Most were analphabets because not of the upper-class and nevertheless they were worthy to be in high rank positions in the church. I am not sure if peter e.g. could write complicated texts as fisherman or read at all.

What a fortune that there were great teachers in the church that could read and great rabbis of the Jews that could read hebrew bible texts and preserved the treasure and took upon the responsibility ot leadership in the church and synagoges. Most were faitfhul and not seduced by the political power. Thanks those priests that read the bible in the monasteries and brought it to the people, and remembered the holy texts and explained it, jesus was loved

Jehovahs witness played no role in the process of bringing the bible to the masses, that was done by catolics and protestants, and because the education for the people got better. JW did not exist in the 16th or 17th century! They very late jumped on the train and misused the bible as business scheme, where slaveworker produce bibles in the factory.

So what right do JW have to benefit from "thanks catolic and protest available bibles for everyone" and blame the churches for not offering it earlier?

JW are literal, understand the text, but produce stupid ideas. Reading the bible independenly is not everything , because you easily can produce misunderstanding, therefore watchtower prohibits reading the bible.

now, this weeks wt study mentions a positive experience of someone applying having, "contact and applying nfb with a df relative".

How you noticed? Utube + Jw.org

when i am working around the house, i often google: utube + jehovah's witnesses or utube + jw.org.

it's good to catch up on the latest videos of those exposing the watchtower.

today, though when i searched, up popped all sorts of videos from the borg itself.

There more you google the more google watches your behaviour and responds with fitting and similar search results that could be of interest to you. The more you open and look at videos of the organsiation the more google will propose you next time of the same kind.

I observed also that besides the official youtube channel of the org another youtube channel of the org in Peru offers a lot in spanish and italian.

A channel with spanish conventions you can find here (channel called WWVIDEOS12j) If you open it it well next time certainly pop up again. In a far future WT could earn money with those videos but with 20.000 clicks they are far away from it.

Is it right that 1919 ~~-the date of birth of the FDS - is a direct result of the study of Pyramidology and can be only explained with Pyramidology? Is the Pyramid the witness for the date 1919 and not the holy spirit?~~ error.

whoever made the decision that 1919 is important date, was actually the FDS?
How did we come to it 1914+5 or 1915+4?

I cant find 1919 in this book but something about 1910, 1914 and 1915

This calculation shows A. D . .1915 as marking the beginning of the period of trouble;[not 1914!] for 1542 years B. c. plus 1915 years A.D equals 3457 years.
It is but four years before the full close of the time of trouble which ends the Gentile times; and when we remember the Lord's words-that the overcomers shall be accounted worthy to escape the severest of the trouble coming upon the world we may understand the reference to be to the anarchoua trouble which will follow October, 1914; but a trouble chiefly upon the Church may be expeCted about 1910 A. D. Is not this a most remarkable agreement between this stone "Witness" and the Bible?
The dates, October, 1874, and October, 1881, are exact, while the date 1910, though not furnished in the Scriptures, seems more than a reasonable one for some important event in the Church's experience and final testing, while A.D. 1914 is apparently welldefined as its close, after which the world's greatest trouble is due, in which some of the "great multitude" may have a share.
And in this connedion let us remember that this date limit- A.D. 1914-must not only witness the completion of the seleetionand trial and glorification of the entire body of Christ, but it may also witness the purifying of some of that larger company of consecrated believers who, through fear and faint-heartedness, failed to render acceptable sacrifices to God, and who therefore became more or less contaminated with the world's ideas and ways. Someqfthese, before the end of this period, may come up out of the great tribulation. (Rev. 7: 14.)
Many such are now being closely bound in with the various bundles of tares for the burning; and not until the fiery trouble of the latter end of the harvest period shall burn the binding cords of Babylon's bond- · age shall these be able to malte their cscape-"saved so as by. fire." They must see the utter wreck of Great Babylon and receive some measure of her plagues. (Rev. 18:4.) The four years from 1910 to the end of 1914, indicated thus in the Great Pyramid, will doubtless be a time of "fiery trial" upon the Church (1 Cor. 3:15) preceding the anarchy of the world, which cannot last long ;-"Except those days should be shortened there should no flesh be saved."-Matt. 24!
Nor is this all of the wonderful symbolism of the Great Pyramid. Its marvelous harmony with the divine plan is 1till further shown in another remarkable feature. We should expeet that the date of the two great events conneeted with the close of this age, viz., (1) our Lord's second advent and (2) the beginning of the harvest, would in 10me manner be marked at the upper end of the "Grand Gallery,'' even as his death and resurrection are marked The Great Pyramid. 65 by the "Well " at its lower end.

Hey Andromeda, dont be "standoffishly". In your kind you are unique. Dont give up. We cannot look in your heart. I can understand your standpoint is a very personal.

The only family member that ever needed blood, died from it. I would never accept blood by someone else jw or not.

So we kept our contact with our son to absolutely necessary family business (NFB)

In reality the son was treated by the family as needless attachement, and this as much as possible by using that disciplination of cutting unnecessary contact.

In reality someday after a long period of loneliness then he certainly desperately relinquished to use his own will after his mind was formed, trained and moded enough by the family to accept the stupid realisation "how much he needed Jehovah" ~ in his loneliness.

In reality he got formed and mindcontrolled to an horrible extent to be convinced that it was even a blessing for him to "have been forced to beg Jehovah for help and forgiveness"

This son must have been a very mad criminal to deserve this treatment.

just sitting through this week's wt study and just spent 5 minutes listening to multiple answers where people are convinced that jehovah made humans from clay, literally forming adam like a sculpture then breathing life into him.. it's embarrassing to think i basically thought the same....
