  the society as from september 2012 is closing 20 branches worldwide .the best bit is the last paragraph :.

  The bible is written in such a way that anyone can twist the scriptures. Do you want a certain scripture to support your doctrine? Go ahead, but you will be accountable. Christ knew men would always twist the scriptures to their own ends, that is why he taught with parables that exposed their heart conditions, and that is why they hated him. Sadly you cannot reason with any JW's about this scriptural interpretation. They believe the GB above Christ. The GB wants to use this verse to oust any who may dare to disagree with them. You cannot change their hearts, so you cannot reason with their slaves. Only those who have been awakened by whatever events trigger awareness can be reasoned with. Some people simply will not see truth until they are personally affected. Some never will. If you know a dub who is already awakening, discuss away. Otherwise do not get too discouraged when they won't listen to reason. They search the scriptures hoping to gain life, but they will not come to Christ to receive it. They are focused on the Golden calf.

  just a few wts that put to the effect anything from them should be taken as from jehovah himself and also with elders or being disfellowshipped, that it means jehovah himself is angry with them, that's it's punishment from him.

  Marking and vomitting from disgust.. ( not because of you all, because of the dishonesty)

  No wonder it is sooo hard to learn TTATT!

  1) They lie

  2) They hide it

  3) It is so confusing that you sometimes don't know what you are reading

  4) You are forbidden to read information that challenges the GB's claims

  5) All the previously written material is unavailable to the new generations of dubs

  6) They revise their history at will

  7) If you are moved to speak the truth, you are demonized and DF'd thereby silencing another voice...

  i have started my da letter !

  i have wrote six pages so far it seems the more i write the more i have to say .i have many mixed thoughts its frustrating to have to go this.

  i wish i could just fade but that is not possable.

  how long were your letters?.

  If you DA yourself, they will slander you to your family. I am pretty sure that they will view you as an apostate, why else would you want to DA yourself? ( in their minds ) It is a tough call, to fade or not to fade... If you leave and are not DF'd, just inactive, they will probably leave you alone after a while. If you are are inactive for some time and are speaking against the GB, it will get back to the Elders, and you will likely be DF'd. If your marraige mate knows your views and the Elders know your views, but have not taken judicial action against you, then that seems pretty amazing to me. If you can keep the Elders off your back, maybe you can wake up your mate. It just depends on what you feel would increase the chance of waking them up. You will never change the Elders or the Org. As far as being dangerous, if you are DA'd I guess they can't do much. If you are still in and are speaking your views then yes, they will act because you are worse than a child molester to them. If I had no extended family that I cared about, just my wife and kid, then I would never look back. My family is gigantic so for now I am fading....

  The Governing Body has NEVER claimed to be inspired…

  there was a recent thread here which covered the subject of the gb claiming to be spirit directed (and not actually inspired by the holy spirit).

  by now, most of us are quite aware that this is just a play with words to excuse themselves whenever one of their false doctrines is debunked (by someone using the bible or their own publications).

  but when you think of it, spirit-directed is actually more presumptuous than spirit-inspired.. that being said, id really like to draw attention to the fact that the wt continuously claims that the governing body of jehovahs witnesses has never claimed to be inspired by god (through his holy spirit).

  Take it from me, if you write a letter, you will be labled as a person of interest. You will actually be viewed as more dangerous than a child molester by the GB. The Elders will have no choice but to follow the WT Playbook. I can't make your decision for you. If you don't care what they think of you then just be inactive and try to reason with your family whenever possible. Who knows, as the WTBTS becomes more corrupt and their sins can no longer be hidden, something may click in your family's mind. Then they will know you were right. I know it's tough, hang in there...

  IF you are a Christian and believe what the Bible says then the answer is easy. There is only one hope, the restoration of all things. Some are going to heaven. Why be dogmatic about the rest of the unknowns? Oh..that's right, because Jehovah's Witnesses is a brand. To be recognizable and appeal to a certain demographic it must be distinguishable in some way from the rest of Christianity. It is a marketing strategy. Rutherford was a shrewed buisiness man. He could not answer the questions of his day. Why did nothing happen in 1914,1915,1918,1919...? Why were the numbers of the " elect " growing? Many were becoming confused because they had put all their trust in men and were let down. Newer bible students reasoned that they had a heavenly hope, but loved the earth as well. Since Rutherford had no answeres but had to think on his feet and restructure to save the buisiness, he closed the Heavenly door and invented the great crowd of [ other sheep ]. It worked. Instead of answering question or admitting to not having the answers and being tolerant of differeing views, Rutherford became domineering and DF'd any who disagreed with his scripturally unfounded dogma. The WTBTS has been following this formula ever since. If you are lurking just ask yourself:

  1) What was the Christian hope?

  2) Did it ever change?

  3) What do the scriptures say about altering the good news?

  4) When Rutherford said the Heavenly door had closed was he correct?

  5) If so, how could the GB exist since they claim a heavenly calling. The newest member is around 48 yrs old.

  6) If Rutherford was wrong about the Heavenly hope ending, what else was he wrong about?

  Check the entire picture. There is a family on the beach ( presumably after the final test, because they are not in dread wondering if they REALLY made it) they have their pants rolled up! I thought, " How happifying! I have to wear polo shirts and Khaki pants for an eternity, as well as hard-hats, but at least I can roll my pants up! ".
