Great Crowd is NOT under the New Covenant...Where does it say this?
by Christ Alone ini was wondering if there was anywhere someone could point to in the bible for the watchtower belief that the great crowd is not included in the new covenant.
i know that this is their line of thinking when it comes to jesus being mediator.
they say that jesus is only mediator of the new covenant and since the gc is not under the new covenant, jesus is not specifically a mediator to them.

Schizophrenia
by frankiespeakin inwhile doing some personal research on the subject i came across this.
basically in the jungian world it is discribed as an overpowering of ego by the unconsciousness.
"if the human race survives, future men will, i suspect, look back on our enlightened epoch as a veritable age of darkness... they will see that what was considered 'schizophrenic' was one of the forms in which, often through quite ordinary people, the light began to break into our all-too-closed minds.".

I used to have nightmares of drowning. I would be underwater and try to come up for air and the water would solidify like glass and i could not escape. Then I would wake up not breathing. I would have to consciously start breathing again, usually counting to 5 or 10. I slept with a knife under my pillow and had night terrors for years. Sometimes I would feel someone watching me and peek above the covers and see a figure in the doorway. I was one messed up kid. My nightmare were very vivid. Are night terrors schizophrenia related?

I never heard such a thing, but I wouldn't be suprised if they attempted to portray themselves as more tolerant to lure people in . I just wish that some new light would happen. Maybe anyone who wants can leave with no strings attatched? Like that could ever happen!! I will keep wishing!

Stories you've heard from what makes one believe they are 'anointed'.
by EndofMysteries init's funny, how the bible describes it is far different from those i had spoken with or heard about.
let's all start listing the many different stories.
i'll start.

Set phasers on scathing!!! Jeeze!! I respect you views Captain. My point is that IF a person claims to be a Christian, then there is only ONE HOPE. Sadly the JW faith doesn't even follow the writings it claims as it's authority. Ultimate hypocrisy in my opinion. CAPTAIN, SHE CAN'T TAKE ANY MORE! I'M GIVIN' HER ALL SHE'S GOT !!!!!

Where has the the society changed the bible to reflect their teachings?
by loosie ini am having a discussion with a jw who has contacted me on facebook.
we are discussing the changed the wt society made to hte bible.

Ok, since I cannot go to the WT CD-library for the answer, I will ask all of you. In the oldest of the old extant manuscripts of the Greek NT, was YHWH included at all? As simply as possible please explain why the NWT says " Jehovah " should have been restored. Besides the obvious convenience of having a publishing empire that has the name Jehovah in it. Is there any validity to the JW argument that it should be in the NT, and that religious leaders removed it because of superstition? Trying to look this up can get confusing.

Publisher's I D Card?....
by BluesBrother indoes anybody know if all "publishers" still carry one of these?.
sister blues came home from the ministry and was a little nonplussed because the c/o had said that publishers were not agents of the congregation.
they were just concerned neighbours visiting ........this was in the context of 'how to deal with 'no callers' signs' ...... no, i don't get it either, she has not been issued one of these since she moved to a new congregation and i said that this card would put a lie to that statement.

Not being an idiot will help you in college too. As stated before you can't take the worst example possible and then say if you were a dub that wouldn't happen. Anyone who practices the " golden rule " for instance, would benefit, not just JW's. Of course the most spiritual of dubs will tell you from the stage that " wordly people " don't love thier families like dub do. So take what those kids said with a grain of salt. Besides what are dubs doing in college anyway? I bet their families are not " spiritual ".
