There must be something missing in the equation. Why would they make this change? Like mentioned before, everything written prior to 1919 was not written by THE SLAVE, and anything written that is or was applied to the Apostles or early annointed that made a 1 to 1 comparison between Christians and the Slave class is now de-bunked.???? What's missing or are they really that desperate? Maybe we are all wrong.....

I stand by my prediction that within 5 years ( if planet x doesn't destroy us, or the WT isn't destroyed by Christ) that there will be no printing of magazines, except for special invitations, and perhaps the current book being studied. All other puplications will be the sole responsibility of the publisher's personal ministry. You will go to JW.org, log in just like an Elder. This privilige will come with a catch, all your internet activity will be closely monitored by Warwick. You may enter you pasword, which will let the watchers on the other end know your rank and position within the KH. Then you will choose the offer for the month and print it off, or burn it at your own expense, as part of your contribution to the World wide work. When logging on you may not count your time, unless you have already met for field service. Then you can count your time downloading, e-mailing, and folding tracts that you have printed yourself. Is is a blizzard outside? No excuses! Raining? No excuses! 120 degrees? No excuses. You can still preach the word. All your placements, RV's, BS will be kept tract of on-line. They will also no who is a registered independent publisher, how often they are logging in, ect. Combined with the watchful eyes of the fine Elders it will be apparent who is whole-souled and who is a potential apostate.

Shepherds in ancient times routinely inspected their sheep individually for injury or sickness that could potentially affect the flock. How those sheep benefitted from the loving and timely inspections from the " fine shepherd "! ( John 10:14 ) Shepherds today likewise inspect the individual members of the flock for potential injuries or sickness that could rob them of joy, and possibly affect other sheep causing much heartache and potentially affecting thier worship. ( Deut 15:21 ) Shepherds should make themselves readily available to assist these potentially ailing ones, figuratively greasing them with oil, lovingly assisting them with being content with thier place in God's Organization. Sady some proudly refuse spiritual healing from God's organization. The may insist on thier own preferences and rights instead of cultivating a spirit of mildness. ( Phil 2:3 , Heb 13:17 ) This attitutude of idependent thinking has been present since Satan the Devil seduced the first human pair to think independently of God's Organization. ( Gen 3:1 ) Many modern day servants have been seduced by " rebellious talk ". Instead of safeguarding their mind and heart, they have been poisoned bt the " air " of this wicked system. Like Korah and other thankless ones, the seek their own glory and the temporary enjoyment of sin, giving no heed to the counsel of God's duly appointed channel of salvation. These apostate thinkers are mentally diseased, and their spiritual gangrene can endanger the entire flock. Such" brazen conduct" should be dealt with swiftly to ensure the safety of God's organization. Onlookers must see that God's Organization tolerates no rivalry to Jehovah and his Faithful Slave. This will also lovingly assure others that their spiritual life is of the utmost concern to the Faihful slave, and that " justice " is present at the " gates " of God's spirit-directed and appointed shepherds. ( Jude 11, Eph 2:2, Matthew 24:45, Lev 19:15) Please refer to Chapter 5 of the ks10-E publication for procudeural guidance to ensure that " all things take place decently and by arrangement ", in accord with the direction from God's visible channel for salvation. ( 1 Cor 14:40 ) it should be emphasized to the doubting or erring one that our Heavenly Father is eager to forgive truly repentant ones. Elders should refer to chapter 11 of the ks10-E " Shepherd " book for re-instatement procedures. Like a loving Father he seeks to reconcile with those who will humble admit their errors, and seek divine guidance from the Faithful Slave and bible-based publications. Every effort should be made to periodically check on those who must be removed from the Congregation. In time the loving manner in which they were treated may be a determining factor in moving them to true repentance. Surely such loving coordinated efforts on the part of Christian Shepherds does not go unnoticed by the Faithful Slave. They appreciate your loyalty to the Supreme Dignitary, Jehovah God, and his duly appointed spirit-directed, true channel of Salvation under the loving direction of the Faithful and Discreet Slave.

The Society debunked the rumored new light on the F&DS in 1973
by Leolaia inthis is the summary of the rumored new light from the 2012 annual meeting, as posted by cedars.. the faithful and discreet slave was not appointed at pentecost 33ce, meaning that there has not been a continuous line of members of the slave class on the earth down through the ages.
the slave class was only appointed for the first time by christ in 1919.the faithful and discreet slave is a small group of anointed brothers during jesus presence serving at watchtower headquarters who are directly involved in the preparing and dispensing of spiritual food.
the individual members of the governing body are not the faithful and discreet slave.

I apologize if this has been mentioned already. If the nu-lite says that there was NO FIRST CENTURY FDS, then are they saying there was not really a FIRST CENTURY GB? It seems as though they are saying the the FDS and GB are synonymous, ONLY the GB is the FDS. So if there was no FDS until 1919, then there was no GB before then. Am I following this correctly? Those guys, like Paul and even Christ's disciples were not FDS members and therefore not GB members. To quote Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, they were " old, dead dudes ". So hypothetically, if I had told someone that I believed that there was no 1st Century GB, and was accused of apostate thinking, I can now wait for the WT article to come out and hypothetically shove it in there face? So 1 year ago I was an apostate and now I am not?

cedar's article is a powerful, well-composed overview of that letter.. tellingly, in the watchtower letter you will not find any direct exhortation requiring parents to first go to the elders when their child discloses sex abuse.
