First off I apologize for my wording. I was in a hurry. I wrote this:

I meant: Whatever the real truth ends up being, going to heaven makes more sense because of the earthly plan being changed, than the JW version.

Unstoppableravens, The idea of God deciding mot to be all knowing at times is a very confusing concept.

Pterist, I agree with you. What's your " ancient worthy " belief?

Sulla, Yeah, I know..... my statements, although rushed and not planned too well, were just to illustrate the sillyness of the JW view. There are many problems with their system. I know we can't know it all, but they have soooo many unanswered questions considering they have the only " truth ". I was just spouting off about the subject while taking one too many pain meds!

Oh yeah, 1 more thing. If Christ is in charge right now and does the judging, then what is all the fuss about? He is so powerful that if he judges me worthy of death I can't stop him. So if I die, oh well... If he knows I am his sheep and I die then I am safe, so again why worry? What control do I even have? Why get worked up because my congregation thinks I am crazy and fears I may have apostate leanings? Why get upset because my wife is deceived by the GB? If she is a sheep, just deceived, then won't she be alright? Why should we even bother when we cannot change anyone? It just causes me stress and heartache.

OK. Man was created to be earthly, right? Then Adam blew it. If God is all powerful, and can manipulate events to make prophecy come true, and could have the Holy Spirit overshadow Jesus in the womb to make him perfect.... Why couldn't he manipulate events to make all of us perfect and still who we are today? The Ancient Worthies got to have the ransom applied to them proactively right? It was as good as paid according to the Watchtower Societies teachings. King David committed murder and was spared for the sake of the ransom later on down the line. Why would God make us grow old and suffer just to resurrect us again to be on the earth. If you were born perfect because God's spirit overshadowed you and you learned that Adam and Eve disobeyed but God forgave you based on the merits of Christ, would you start complaining about God's sovereignty not being vindicated?! Wouldn't you be all, " Thanks Father, I love you for doing that!". I have perfect mind, and can perfectly trace out all the possible scenarios that would have occured if you had not stepped in. I can understand perfectly how mankind woulld have ruined his way on the earth. I shudder to think of that ever happening! I love you so much Father for your forgiveness and for stamping out evil.....

Hiding behind the " sovereignty " issue does not cut it. If you are all powerful and all knowing and all loving, why not forgive everyone? Get rid of evil and have people in a paradise from birth. Are people really going to complain because evil wasn't given free reign for thousands of years?! Do I need to come punch you in the face so you can appreciate how it feels NOT to be punched in the face?!

If the Borg has the Truth what are they worried about?

jw's will of course argue that they have the truth.. if that be the case, why are they terrified to talk to.

people or visit sights that expose their beliefs?.

if someone speaks the truth there should be nothing.

Hello,

The Elder's think very little of the flock. They may not even realize it, but it is true. The Organization is a top-down hierarchy, so Elders imitate the C.O who imitate the D.O who imitate the GB. The lack of confidence and the condescending attitude comes from the GB. I was told in a meeting that if I don't get the national average in service that I am not " leading " the sheep. Also this illustration was given. If a shepherd places an obstacle in front of the sheep pen the sheep must jump it to get out. If the first 30 sheep jump over the bar and then you remove the bar, the sheep will keep jumping even when the obstacle is removed! The point of this " beautiful " illustration was that the sheep ( anyone not an Elder or above-remember the Elders are " Shepherds") will not do anything if the example is not in front of them. Also, exceptions cannot be made for brothers to be recommended for MS if they are not " leading " the sheep. If a sheep sees brother so and so appointed and he gets 1 hour below the national average then the sheep will rebel. The sheeple do not love God enough to do their best without constant prodding and they are looking for any excuse to slack off. Jesus is pissed off right now. I would hate to be one of the GB.

i'd like extend a greeting to all members of jwn.

i've been a lurking by-stander of this forum for approximately 6 months.

i think this forum's best moments can be attributed to the involvement of actual jw's in doctrinaire discussions and to heated (though not always dialectic) debates.

Let's talk about the new " Slave " doctrine that you must believe until it changes again. My wife recently learned of this nu-light and thinks it makes perfect sense! Well, gotta go. I need to review my " Reasons not to kill myself " list.

The Governing Body has NEVER claimed to be inspired

there was a recent thread here which covered the subject of the gb claiming to be spirit directed (and not actually inspired by the holy spirit).

by now, most of us are quite aware that this is just a play with words to excuse themselves whenever one of their false doctrines is debunked (by someone using the bible or their own publications).

but when you think of it, spirit-directed is actually more presumptuous than spirit-inspired.. that being said, id really like to draw attention to the fact that the wt continuously claims that the governing body of jehovahs witnesses has never claimed to be inspired by god (through his holy spirit).

Any Elders comments on latest idea about Sisters

just finished our 2 day and one of the talks by the do indicated that single sisters in the congregation are to be subservient to all male brothers in the hall..as well a widow too is of the same "status".

is this a new thought or just now an open secret?.

personally, i dont think that is good - after all there are many elders who although, supposedly appointed by hs, can be personally involved with porn behind closed doors or nasty with his wife and family.. i personally know of two like that .... why should i listen to a "stranger" about my life?

No matter how " good " they be, they are still deceived and will tow the line or they will be out of a job.

Too true, but those are the exact types who rise throught he ranks of the JW's. It is really sad that you must be either ambitious or ignorant to " progress spiritually ". The real tards are what I call " servants for life ". No matter what they will always be an MS, no matter how hard they try. Still if you are a sister or brother who partakes, you must be subservient to them.

just give up the job, the house and go somewhere where life moves at a slower pace and there are not as many electronic intrusions?

only thing to get to a place like that costs money.. if i had my way, give all of this up for a quiet life on a little small holding that can look after my needs..

I know the feeling. I would love to be in a padded cell and left alone for a while. The rat-race is tough. The JW rat-race is the worst.

I am not DF'd, but I am fading and learning TTATT. The WTBTS is a business. Since when does a business do something that benefits anyone except themselves? Not very often. My wife was sad because Wal-Mart didn't have very good organic food. I told her not to worry, as soon as Wal-Mart figures out how to make money consistently selling better food, they will have a better selection. The same with hybrid and electric vehicles, they are not new. The Big Auto makers were never going to make them in mass quantities until THEY figured out how to benefit themselves by doing so.They would never have done it out of the goodness of their hearts. The GB is the same, except worse because the are deluded by religion and are legends in their own minds. The only way they would ever alter, or do away with shunning was if the alternative was worse for them. If they beleived that they could keep most JW's in by some kind of new light regarding DF'ing, then they would do it. If it comes down to survival and $, no new light is too bizarre! That's my 2 cents even though I heve never been Df'd. I have a brother who is and I have been trying to find him via facebook. I hope that he would realize that I was deceived and forgive me, but if he didn't I guess I couldn't blame him.
