Never had a judicial committee, however, I did have a few back room discussions regarding gossip being spread about me or someone I was friends with.

Code Words for Fade Mode?

what do you do when you suspect a jw is on the way out?...you may notice that they don't talk about meetings or service on social media...they don't even list jw as their religion.

Normally hearing gossip or participating in gossip about the Elders gets you all the info you need on a fader. Gossiping is allowed and heavily utilized in the organization. They had a watchtower study on "good gossip" and "bad gossip", they encouraged gossip from the podium....I remember thinking, that made no sense! So I use this strategy to get feelers on faders and fellow heretics.

I am also in that boat. I have successfully awakened 2 persons from my hall that were on the edge already, however both of their fathers are elders so they can't do much until they move out. I am actually working on 2 others, but I go about it in a different way. I am fortunately somewhat popular with the friends of my age group (21-25) from the spiritually weak to the self-righteous zealots. My approach works best when the gossip starts, and we all know how every JW tends to feed on gossip. I allow the friends to let loose, feel comfortable, vent, and complain all they want. It tends to work with my age group as many are young and do get reproved or spoken badly of because of past mistakes. When the oppression and injustice is at its highest, they tend to be more receptive to what the bible actually says and the critical examination of the WTS. You can show them that they don't have to deal with it anymore and that the faithful slave, elders, and organization doesn't have to be answered to, only Jehovah God through Jesus Christ.
