You should tell your mom that UN is not stupid, If they want to find something out about any organization or religion they have the means too. Its just unfortuntely called brainwashing and fear that makes your mom say this. I know, because my mom is the same way.

I was wondering...
by Country Girl inif i wrote to the united nations about the jw's being ngo members at one time, would they reply in the affirmative on their letterhead?
my mom thinks that just because i sent her a "scanned" copy that it is just hackers out to destroy jehovah's organization.
doesn't this sound stupid?

Hate - They hate everyone and everything that is not part of the "friends" or the "truth"
Haughty- You will never hear a witness say nice things about the "wordly folks", they think they are hot shieet, they are always right, and everyone is out to get them.
Hypocrites- They say dont put money first, yet the Kingdom Halls are filled with the Nice cars, and they say "You dont get baptized to an organization, you get baptized to serve Jehovah" yet at the end of their baptismal talk they take the father, son, and holy spirit off, and instead insert a you belong to the organization crap..

Do you want the same thing that happend in 9-11-01 to happen again? do you actually think that if Saddam or North Korea make nuclear weapons that they will say " ohh we dont want to sell this to anyone that disrespects life, we just want it for protection" NO they will use it against us!! All that the anti war protesters are accomplishing is making people that are nuts like Saddam laugh at us, and know how weak we are to be able turn against freedom and our elected leader and instead take the side of MANIACS.. pretty much every conversation, at least so far, has ended similarly...with my friend falling back on "classic" wt defenses.
one of which i single out today...the insistence that they are the one true religion because they are the only ones who go "house to house".

the original piercing was 10 millimeters, and since that was a bit long now that my tongue has healed, today i went for a new one, and a new stud.
my jw mum went with me, and she even picked out the one i have now, a red-white-blue [just like our flag] ball that glows in the dark.

Whenever I run into JW that shun me

i run into jw's in restaurants, grocery stores and on the street and they act so stuck up, or give me a dirty look if i smile at them and say hello.. i then think to myself, what reason do they have to act so arrogant toward me?
they support a religion that promotes the secrecy of child molestation.

Well I have to say that I could have not said that any better Sadi. Truly you took the words out of my mouth. My husband and I have been shunned for a awhile now, and it truly does hurt me. I get jealous of other people I work with when I hear them enjoying church gatherings/simply going to church. When I enter into a Kingdom Hall, I feel unwelcomed, unworthy and I get the worse anxiety attacks. I have been baptized for over ten years, was extremely active, now I do consider myself inactive, the reason being, I feel no love in this religion. When you feel depressed, everyone thinks your crazy for feeling that way, and they want you to quit your job and go full time in the field service, well I wish life was that easy to do, I mean there is something called Mortgage to pay, Car Insurance, Health Insurance, in other words...Bills Bills Bills to pay. Seems like the ones in full time service are either the Rich, who own their own companies, or their spoiled offspring that never finished High School because it was too worldy. So their kids benefit from mom and dads money while Pioneering in their BMW's. Get my point Folks?
Let me tell you like it is, inorder to make it as a JW, you must either make it to all 5 meetings/put service time in. Or Have a Powerful job, Powerful friends, Powerful Money, then you can miss has many meeting as you want! See they say Make The Truth Your Own....Hmm I dont think so, its seems inorder to make it in Paradise, you must please the Sister or Brother next to you that has been in the Truth for 20 years+. I have never in my life seen so many stuck up people, and the arrogance oh my goodness the arrogance is something you feel 100 miles away. Why am I still going you say, Its called I have family in this religion, and I just do not know how I am going to be treated, I feel traped. I get so angry, because its sick that we go through this, is not church supposed to be where we are to feel good, and close to God? Even the worse sinners feel welcomed in other churches! Why not us I say, are we so bad? What did we do? If God is Love, why do I feel Hate? If Jesus died for us to give us life,t why do I feel that I am going to be destroyed? At the meetings I come out feeling im not worthy, im going to die, and to be honest with you all I get scared of Jehovah. JW's do not care if you are sick or down in the dumps, they just care if you make it to a damn meeting.
Does this sound familar "I had the worse day, my boss yelled at me, I have a headache, I think I am coming down with something..... Oh does that mean you will not be attending the meeting tonight? Think about it, how many times has that happend?

Not enough proof? more inspections? give me a break....... This was not supposed to be a hide and seek game, nor a "umm we dont have the documents my slave ate it". Saddam is a sick man he has used chemical weapons on his people and on the Kurds, and if given enough time he will use it or sell it to someone that will use it on the U.S or other democratic country. Its finally time that we take care of some of this garbage, and if the French with their proud history of surrendering before the fighthing starts dont want to be on our side, then they should wait in line after Iraq, N Korea, Iran....

my gut feeling is that this is a sneaky way of confirming to the r&f that annointed are old... like the r&f are going to waste precious ink asking these sorts of questions - they're more likely to be asking: "should we call the police up on the child-molesting po in our congregation?
