  i have actually heard of people saying that they are okay with being brainwashed and/or mind controlled?

  does this make sense to you guys?.

  It does because thinking is too much for some mentally lazy people. It is actually far easier to be told what to think, do, and say than to figure it out for yourself. Being mind controlled is a comfort to them. One time a brother said in his talk that "people may call us brainwashed! It's true! Our minds have been cleansed from worldly satanic practices and thinking!". Puke

  How do JWs explain Egyptian society and culture surviving the flood?

  ok this is something have been wondering.

  has anyone heard any explanation from jws as to how egypt, which even the wt admits existed 4600 years ago, was eliminated by a global flood but resumed a few short years later with the same culture, language etc.

  the pyramids are older than the wt date for the flood.

  That may be true DD, exept for the fact that the official JW stance (one of their most ludicrous) is that all creatures were vegitarians before the flood! My dad actually told me when I was young that the tyranasourus Rex had those sharp teeth to crack open coconuts lmfao!!

  this story is quite remarkable and no doubt many will appreciate it being told.

  it is telling for several reasons; it highlights the fact that the watchtower organization can expel and marginalize anyone for literally anything if they are crossed.

  they did that to ray franz back in the early 1980s and they recently have done it to these fine folks.. there are some six pieces of documentation in the account and it is in some ways a complicated mess, but it really boils down to a couple of active witnesses informing on someone to the elders.

  The craziest part is HOW COULD THERE BE AZTECS, EGYPTIANS, OR CHINESE CIVILIZATIONS JUST 130 YEARS AFTER THE WHOLE WORLD WAS WIPED OUT SAVE 8 PEOPLE!

  Can you imagine how long it would take for people to multiply, spread out and migrate from turkey to Central America and form a civilization??!!

  How can anyone with 2 brain cells even consider this seriously??!!

  I bet if this was ever brought up you would bring about the ULTIMATE cognitive dissonance in a JW.

  New Understanding of this Generation

  another tidbit of information about this generation from the 1/15/2014 study edition under "let your kingdom come - but when?".

  they've changed it again.. this generation will not pass away14-16.

  what is a third reason for believing that gods kingdom will come soon?.

  The Borg keeps digging itself into a hole. When the end again fails to materialize they will have NO CHOICE but to extend the overlap to 3 overlapping generations. It is amazing JWs accept this. The WT could have kept the 95 teaching without a set end, but they MUST create a sense of perpetual urgency among the R+F, so they stop one step short of setting a date, but enough to keep dubs thinking it is right around the corner. Why people continue to trust them when they have been wrong so much in the past is beyond me.. Oh I forgot.. They use the BITE method thats how.

  Another observation I have is that the GB is moving away from backing their outrageous ideas with scriptures, they are instead moving towards just asserting things, saying "we understand this or that" and having their self assumed power as the FDS be all the proof they need.

  All they will need to do in 30 or 40 years time is say that "we understand that Jesus evidently meant 3 sucsessive overlapping generations" and whoever is still a JW then will lap up the urine they serve.

  Comatose, I cant copy and paste but it is in the 1986 Awake 1/22 issue in Watching the World under the heading "Ancient Air" There they admit the pyramid of Giza has been there 4600 years.

  Ok this is something have been wondering.   I know that there are other gaping holes in the story too like how there is no evidence of animals exclusive to Australia such as kangaroos, koalas etc ever living anywhere else, yet they somehow travelled from there to Mesopotamia where Noah allegedly was and then back to Australia again without a trace, and many more nonsensical things.

  One JW elder in my hall has an idea as to how they built the pyramids. He said he thinks that the Nephilim built it since it would require great strength!! When you are dealing with this level of nonsence and idiocy, its no wonder the GB gets away with this scam it is running.

  when i come accross these coined phrase like "theocratic school" i wonder if it really is time to live a theocracy on earth, and it it is not an exageration by gb to make people think they occupy a undisputable place in that theocracy where anybody who challenges them, challenges theos.. is the theocratic attitude on earth christian?

  I decided I wouldnt want to live under one, even when I was still asleep thinking JWs have the truth. The realiztion that I dinnt want the carrot they dangled evaporated their power over me. This enabled me to start truly awakening to TTATT.

  To answer your question, I get a picture of a tyrannical extreme govt. Saudi Arabia, Iran, the Taliban, and the Spanish Inquisition come to mind.
