The WT's biggest deception?

is it possible to raise good kids with out religious morals?
by Princess Ashe inmaking up my mind on how to teach my son values in life seems to be an on going struggle of what is right and wrong.
being raised in a sheltered jw life until after leaving high school seems like going from one extreme to another of being over restrictive or under.
trying to find that balance.

My best friend died yesterday
by TimeBandit insometimes people make special connections to animals.
sometimes they bond very deeply and are real friends.
yesterday was the end of such a friendship that lasted ten wonderful years.

I am sincerely sorry for your loss. I have never had the joy of owning a canine person but I have always wanted to. I believe dogs, along with other creatures feel and are smarter and take in more than we know. I can see it in their eyes. I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you.

You are perceptive Phizzy. My wife, parents are very dedicated JWs. I have 2 young girls being raised in it. I struggle with when and what to do. I want us to exit together, but if that does not happen, I hate the thought of my kids being subjected to go to the KH with their mother. The best I can do is provide a alternative way of looking at things and teach them there is nothing wrong with thinking for yourself. I will teach them to be critical thinkers and question authority. I don't know exactly how I will, but I must. I can only hope that when I stop going to the KH, my wife will in time stop too when she sees the lack of love. I will have to stand up and sign them up for after school activities, sports etc.. And let them have non Jw friends. my wife will likely resent me for it, but I have to take a stand sometime. My parents are a lost cause, so yes yoprobably do hear some despair because of my very tough situation. but believe me I have hope too!

i mean they are prototypical "witness zombies" who do exactly what the gb tell them to without fail and always with a smile on their face.

It is frustrating isn't it? it's sad to see good hearted people trapped in this merciless cult and worse to see young children be slowly indoctrinated. The good news is it can be reversed much easier in children before the teen years.

Suavojr- You are so right. I just read numbers 31. Can you imagine the horrible screams as people were slaughtered? Can you imagine the amount of blood? Can you imagine!!! Anyone who defends this is a moral reprobate.
