You are right undercover, and I knew all that intellectually, but something snapped inside of me when I read cedars article, and it turned my hate of the WT/gb up a few notches. Somehow they seem to be tightening the grip and the silver lining is that this WILL wake many up. Not a mass exodus, but this will open more eyes IMO. In any tyrannical group, the leaders must cultivate mistrust among the peons. It's ironic. They want dubs to be paranoid about people who speculate, or fishes a bit too often, but they don't want you to have a healthy fear of the pedo j dubbs including elders running amok.

Stories like this are the reason for the paranoia in the DEC 15 rag. IF a story is positive about JWs it is true. If it is something negative, it is wrong by default. They want JWs to think anything bad about the Org is a lie by default.

This is getting really scary. They are truly becoming a bonafide CULT! I know they already were but this SEALS IT! Semi-shunning of people who have HOBBIES, Or FOLLOW SPORTS?!! Are they trying to set up two classes of witnesses, like a caste system? The uber spiritual and the outcasts?? If anyone speculates or has a critical conversation, you should avoid this person! They want cult-smile Stepford wife zombies walking around it seems. A caged animal is the most dangerous. And thats what the WT is!
All still in need to make a solid plan NOW to save their families and exit, with or without them. I fear if we dont get them out now, they will be a lost cause.

jesus speaks of only two groups, so if you accept the wtbts "anointed" doctrine, then if you haven't got the "heavenly hope", then you've got no hope!.
simply put, there aren't any 'other sheep' members of jesus' "one flock" mentioned, unless of course theyare also "sons of the kingdom", but of course, that would be ridiculous!!.

That sounds plausible DD, except for how they hammered down at the last Memorial about WHO should partake and WHO SHOULD NOT. Usually before a big change like the FDS doctrine, they ease into it. For years they have been downplaying partakers as a whole and emphasizing the GB. So when they say only the GB is the FDS, most lap it up.
If they were to let all partake, it would be very sudden, especially after how the last memorial talks main theme was WHY YOU SCUM SHOULD NOT PARTAKE.
However, this would actually be a smart move for them I think. EVentually they will have to change something if the partakers keep going up, the most likely of which I think is, to stop taking count of who partakes and who does not. They have already stated that "we dont need to know" so the next logical step would be to not count them at all IMO.

i have always seen jws stand when at sporting events, but i have heard conversations in which the dubs said they would either linger in the hallways until it was over, or else sit down during it.
most of the time when there is such discrepancy between jws it means the light has been flicked on and off so often it leaves them dazed and confused.

thanks for the responses so far. Its ironic. I live in a border US city, and at our hockey games, both the US, and Canadian national anthems are played. Acording to WT reasoning, by standing respectfully for both the US and Canada anthems means I am allied with both of them? Even if you are a patriotic American and If you go to a foreign country like Brazil and go to a soccer game there, and stand while their National Anthem is sung, does it mean you are now loyal to Brazil? If you are loyal to "Gods kingdom" and stand during your anthem, does that mean you are not loyal to it?
This is just another example of WT legalism and excessive rule making. Also its another way to make witnesses become outcasts from the rest of society, just like no Cross, no B-Days, holidays, etc and so on.
