  he was certain j. and his family weren't there, but he was wrong.

  Amen to that Darth Fader. I feel exactly the same way. Dead is dead. I would argue that if you DID NOT defend your family by injuring/killing a home invader and he killed someone YOU would still bear bloodguilt for allowing it to happen when you could have stopped it.

  If you are going to defend your family or yourself, why wouldnt you use the most effective means availble, a firearm.

  My wife owns swords for personal defense, yet does not want a gun. Why would you not want the most effective means of defense available?

  This is yet another hypocrisy.

  For example, they expect a woman to fight off a rapist yet if she wanted to take personal defence classes to actually be able to stop the rapist, that is prohibited. I say screw them. You cannot be DF even for carrying a gun for your employment. The worst that will happen is loss of "privleges".

  Wouldnt Roku be considered one of the "traveling merchants" to be destroyed along with the "wild beast" and "babylon the great"? The WT has now openly contracted with these "traveling merchants"? WHat did Christ do when the Jews mixed commercialism into the temple?

  when i left the wt organization, i continued to believe in the bible, so i wanted to confirm and refine, as much as possible, my faith that the true god is in the bible.

  so i began to discuss with skilled christians, who were also ex-witnesses.

  but i was surprised when some of them tried to relax my fundamentalist position on the literalness of the genesis account.

  True, but keep in mind there were prostitutes about too. Read Genesis 38. Judah slept with a prostitute and him doing so was not painted in a bad light. Not to say it was encouraged of course.. Perhaps dont ask dont tell?

  What right do they have to judge anyone? Who gives them the authority? Only the JWs who play their little game.

  If I am ever called on the carpet under charges of apostasy, I dont know whether or not to feed into their little game. They have no power other than the power people allow them to have.

  I didnt mean to say that singles could "hook up" with impunity, but that men were not held to the same standard of fidelity as we know it today.
