New Watchtower Propaganda and hate speech destroying families (Feb 2016 WT)
by Daniel1555 inthe following is a paragraph from the new february study watchtower article "learn from jehovah's loyal servants.".
7 a conflict of loyalties may arise when a close relative is disfellowshipped.
for example, a sister named anne [1] received a telephone call from her disfellowshipped mother.

This article does not seem to break any new ground, however judging by the wording they are getting desperate because too many JW are just not listening. This example of Anne is naked emotional blackmail. The mother is suffering, but the only way to end the suffering is to "return to Jehovah". Angus Stewart put it nicely when he said that JWs face a hostage situation, and a cruel choice. Geoffrey Jackson did not disagree. Lose your family or return to a cult. Maybe any family who would do this to someone does not deserve them and is not worthy of them anyways. So sad and infuriating to see this -

This weeks service meeting! More craziness.....
by stuckinarut2 inso this weeks service meeting is so full of "crazy".
a whole 15 min part devoted to trying to indoctrinate everyone on how to "explain our beliefs on 1914".
then another 15 min part called "a tool to help us explain our beliefs about 1914".

No one, especially the householders give a $@it about 1914. This smacks of desperation. The JWs use the word Fact very loosely I might add. They may have FAITH in the date but certainly not facts lol -

I am in a similar boat. I have been fully awake since 2012. I have been through every stage you can be. Depression, anger, resentment, self medicating with alcohol etc. alcohol worked for a few months but eventually it makes things worse. I still attend most meetings because of my wife and occasional once a month FS for an hour. It's what i do to keep the peace until she wakes up or until I have enough strength to break free. I live with my wife and I can't stand for my home life to be that miserable. At first I researched day and night, read Ray Franz books, learned the true history of the org, blood issue, bible etc. I now know WHY they are wrong and have no more fear.
Eventually I realized the whole bible is a fraud and am now agnostic! An agnostic with 2 young daughters and a fully in wife and parents.. Overwhelming if I let it be. I have given up trying to "wake up" my wife as I now realize this will only happen of her own accord. I try not to think about it too much.
It's important to have a goal or some hope, if not real depression will set in. Work out, do fun things both with your family and alone, and enjoy life as best you can. Don't let this consume you. Don't let it destroy you. I think about those who have it worse and that helps too. Show love, which isn't always easy when struggling inside. Some days will be much harder than others, but keep pressing on. This forum has helped me so much, especially when first waking up

I think the meeting has gotten longer too! I think it's supposed to be 1hour 30min now and it seems like it's been extended by 10-15 minutes on an already long night. I expect attendance to drop even more -

Won't get fooled again ...Moon Landing.
by The Rebel inso i was fooled by the witnesses.
what can i learn from that?
not to accept things at face value but to seek out opinion and different view points.. hence my question " do you believe man landed on the moon?.

DJS do you work for or in association with the CIA? If so that would explain a lot. I am honored that you and your unAmerican tyrant friends would find anyone like me who commit "thought crime" dangerous. The CIA is a wicked murderous organization with more blood on its hands than any group in world history. Perhaps you will get your way one day and I can be locked away for my dangerous opinions as has happened throughout human history. -

Another interesting aspect of this is that in sunlight the moon reaches 253 degrees Fahrenheit yet in shade it is -243 degrees Fahrenheit due to there being little to no atmosphere. The excuse for the astronauts survival is that white reflects heat and they had cooling systems in their backpack. Tell me, is it really reasonable to believe that wearing white will protect you in temperatures past the boiling point? Also on e flag issue, it was said you don't need atmosphere only motion.. What motion was there when the flag was planted in the ground? Please don't tell me the motion of the moon orbiting lol. -

DJS by the looks of things you are readying yourself for an old fashioned "ad hominem" attack. Attack the person not the issues. -

for any interested look up proven declassified now conspiracy factsoperation Northwoods, Ajax, Gulfof Tonkin, the sinking of the USS liberty, Operation Gladio. Also consider NSA spying. 10 years ago any who said the NSA was spying was a kook. Now it's just accepted as common knowledge. At one time if you said cigarettes were bad forgot they would have said, "my doctor says cigs are safe, and he smokes them and after all he is educated, smart, and wears a white lab coat. Who are you to question him? Where did you go to med school?" None of that would have stopped you from being right and him wrong.

“Some people insult those who disagree with them by questioning character or motives instead of focusing on the facts. Name-calling slaps a negative, easy-to-remember label onto a person, a group, or an idea. The name-caller hopes that the label will stick. If people reject the person or the idea on the basis of the negative label instead of weighing the evidence for themselves, the name-caller’s strategy has worked.” (g2000 6/22 p.6)
